We all try so hard to be what society wants us to be,
To be what we see on television screens,
Long hair and eyelashes wanting to be seen,
Trying to be the visual of the "American Dream,"
If we could chose to be perfect wouldn't we all be,
Trying to be persuading to the eye,
Our pain is the secret and beauty is the disguise,
When lying lives and the truth has died,
That everyone is beautiful in God's eyes,
Popularity is a castle,
We all want to be Queens and Kings,
But the truth of the matter,
Is that I just want to be free,
To be at ease and feel pure peace,
And not to be laughed at because of your deceit,
So talk all you want and laugh all you please,
Because at the end of the day I will always be me.
