Chapter 1 : The Broken Picture

It's Saturday... and it's 9:30 in the morning.

Mhmm... what should I do..?

I pushed my chair away to my table and saw myself spinning my chair around.

* Beep... Beep... *

Oh it's my phone . I grabbed my phone in my drawer and answered it.

" Hello..?" Said me while looking at the window.

" Hey Zy watcha doin' ? " asked my bestfriend Rieca.

" Nothing much. Why'd you call?"

" Well... I... I was just checking if you're ok." Asked Rieca

" Well of course I'm Ok why would you ask that? " said me while I straighten my back.

" I know that you broke up with-" before she was About to say that name I interrupted her " I'm perfectly fine!"

" Cut the shit Zy! I know your not over with your break up "

" I don't know I just try to forget about it... "

" I know but how will you move forward if you don't straighten yourself up!"

" I'm just not ready... we only broke up half a year... "

" Well it's time to move forward and try to love again! " said Rieca incouraging me to fall in love again.

" I'm not gonna fall in love again, I'm not gonna be a fool who got blind by love!" I said by raising my voice and hanging the call.

" sigh ".

I bowed my head in the table for a moment and then I opened my second drawer and saw our picture .

I grabbed it out of the drawer and Had a flashback when we took the photo.

* flashesback to when they took the photo*

We were at the amusement park and found a photo booth. So we took the pic and we smiled happily and sweet.

" Hehe I look a little mess " said Vyel while looking shy.

" Nahh you're fine " said me.

He laughed and grabbed my hand and ran at the roller coaster while holding my hand... his hands were warm...

*turns back to reality*

But now it is all gone...

I threw the picture next to the door some of it's glass got scattered but I'll clean it later.

Why did I photo framed it? I'm such an idiot.

*knock,Knock*

" Who is it? " asked me while frustrated.

" It's me dear... " said mom softly with her calm and cute voice.

" Oh... uh... come in.." Said me while I turned my chair in front of the door.

Mom opened the door looking worried. " Are you ok dear? " asked Mom while she got in my room.

" Yeah " said me while I looked down.

Mom sat at my bed with her hands on her thigh.

" Then why do you look down? " said Mom

" It's nothing " said me while avoiding eye contact with her. She'll know if I'm okay or not if I make eye contact with her.

Mom looked around and saw the scattered glass and a picture frame.
Mom approached it and kneeled down to it and grabbed the picture.

" I see... " said Mom while looking down

I took a deep breath and looked mom straight in the eye. She approached me and gave me a hug. " I'm sorry.." Said mom. " W-why ? " asked me curiously. " Because I wasn't there when you needed me the most " said mom. She was shaking a little.

" You're here now... "said me.

Mom let go of me and smiled " If your father was here he would tell you " Sweetie if life knocked us down just roll over and smell the roses " said Mom.

I smiled and laughed . Dad used to tell me that if I'm down or sad he would always tell me that.

Mom touched my cheekd and smiled again " There's my daughter... always smiling even at the worst times"

I giggled and smiled.

" Hey Mom... I gotta go" said me.

" Oh Okay be careful dear" said Mom .

I standed up and grabbed my black jacket and my string bag and wore my black high cut converse.

" Bye Mom" Said me and waved goodbye to my mother and headed downstairs.

While Mom just smiled and also waved back.

I walked at the street with my hood on my head.

I grabbed my earphones at my bag and put it in my ears and listen to " All I want "

I was looking at the people walking towards me.

While I was walking I saw a familiar face . We met our ways but we were walking the opposite.

But then I realized it was Vyel!

I stopped for a moment and looked back.

He just continued walking like it was nothing. I gently reached my hand to him but then I stopped. " I forgot were over now... " said me to my thoughts .

I looked down with a frown. I'll just look at him for the last time and walk away and pretended like I never saw him.

I looked at him once again and saw him looking at me. I was shocked my eyes went big and he looked calm.

I looked away and walked out.

" Zyra! " but then a voice called out to me. I was so shock!

I stopped for a moment and then continued to walk.

I looked down because I was holding my tears.

I got stopped , someone grabbed me.
I looked around and saw Vyel hugged me.

My world become black, the people walking in the streets were like gone and it was just the two of us.

I tried to break out but it's no use he really hugged me tight.

" Let go.." Said me

" No... " said him calmy. His chin were at the top of my head and his body feels warm.

" I said LET GO!!!" Shouted me.

He letted me go and I tried to run but he grabbed me again in my hands.

" Wait-" before he was about to say anything I letted go of his hand and ran.

My tears started to burst in my eyes.

I stopped from the corner of the street and catched my breath.

I saw a convinient store and stopped over.

I entered the store and went straight ahead to the chips.

" Should I pick this? Or this? " said me while holding a Lays and a pringles.

" both" said someone mysterious.

I looked around saw Rieca. My bestfiend .
