"I Am A Diver"

I am a diver,

I sink,

Down to the bottom,

Of a sea of my tears.

The beautiful river,

Can not drown my fears,

I have breath left,

But I'm not breathing.

I am a diver,

I have a tank on my back,

I never learned to stay atop,

The beautiful waterfall that comes from my heart,

I have learned to swim,

But not tread,

These waves are huge,

Way over my head,

This isn't my calling,

This isn't my dream,

I don't like swimming,

I'm not like I seem,

I am a diver,

I come up for air,

One time I didn't,

I'm still laying right there,

In a sea of tears,

My fears became true,

I was a diver,

But I'm no longer here.
