'Sho!' Kristin squealed, as she banged on her apartment door. 'It's midnight! '

Shoshana threw the covers off her with a grunt. She wasn't asleep, nor was she trying, she was, however, cozy. She didn't want to get out of bed, much less walk the 500 feet to the door, but for Kristin, and Kristin alone would she walk to the door and be cold.

'It's midnight!' Kristin said again when Sho opened the door.

Sho couldn't help but smiling at her girlfriend's giddiness,'  it was infectious, straight out of a Dr. Seuss book.

'I realize that, realized it before you showed up,' Sho said, resting her head against the door.

'Were you asleep?' Kristin asked, suddenly aware not everyone kept the same sleep schedule as her. There were people who actually slept before three am. 'I wasn't trying to wake you up. I was just so excited to celebrate.'

'Was I asleep?' Sho asked. She shook her head. ' Can't say that I was. I can, however, say that I was in bed.'

'You were in bed?' Kristin said, her brow furrowing slightly. She suddenly felt bad for showing up so unannounced.

'I was laying in bed, covered up. I was cozy.' She opened the door, allowing Kristin to come in. She was going to anyway. 'I should have known you'd be by.'

'I couldn't sleep,' Kristin said, placing herself on Sho's couch. ' So I figured I would come over here, help you celebrate.'

'I think our versions of celebrating are two different things,' Sho said, going back to her room. She left her door open, she had a feeling Kristin would end up in her bed. 'I was just going to lay here and feel proud of myself.'

'That's hardly celebrating,' Kristin said. She got up and went to Sho's room. 'You should be giddy, you released a freaking album that will top the charts. That's every cause to celebrate, be giddy.'

Watching Kristin pace her room, trying to come up with ways to celebrate was something that made her kneel on the edge of her bed. She rested her hands on her thighs, waiting patiently. She would grab Kristin when she least expected it.

'I never said I wasn't giddy. I simply said that I was going to lay in bed and feel proud of myself. I didn't have to have a big party to know that what I did was amazing. I'm not cocky, or one to throw it in peoples faces.'

'But it's AMAZING!' Kristin said, unable to contain her excitement for her girlfriend. She was so happy.  'You're amazing.'

She couldn't help but smiling widely when Kristin jumped up and down, squealing much like a child would. This was all the celebrating she needed.

'And I'm so proud of you. I'm so, so incredibly proud of you. I know how hard it is to produce an album, pour your heart into something. I know this feeling all too well. It makes me happy to see you do good. I wanna bake cookies or shout it from the rooftops.'

'You wanna bake cookies for the release of my album?'

'I wanna do something, anything that shows how proud I am of you.'

'Cookies it is,' Sho said, jumping off the bed. She grabbed Kristin's hand and led her into the kitchen.

'You're really going to let me do this?'

'I'm really going to let you do this.'

Kristin squealed. She wrapped her arms around her neck, then rained kisses on her face.

'I get all this attention because I agreed to let you make cookies?' Sho asked, resting her hands on Kris' waist.

'You get all this attention all the time, but I'm just so excited for you, ergo you get more attention,' Kris said. With a smile she stood on her tiptoes and placed a big kiss on her lips. 'You get all this attention because you deserve it. You deserve all the attention and awards. You deserve it all, in fact you deserve all this and more. You deserve the entire world, which I will give you one day, but now, will you take my cookies?'

'I will take your cookies any day of the week,' Sho said. She pressed a kiss to Kris' temple, then sat at the counter. 'Feel free to make me all the cookies you want. I will eat them, or anything you make for that matter.'

'Do you have icing?'

'You need icing for cookies?'

'I am going to make you my Chenolicious cookies.'

'You mean the things that kill people, according to you?'

'You read my book?' Kristin asked, genuinely shocked.

'I read it when it came out. I found it funny, charming, and sexy. It was everything I figured you were. I actually have a copy somewhere.'

'You do not!' Kristin exclaimed, wide eyed.

Sho nodded. She hopped off the chair she was currently sitting at, then went to her book shelf. She knew she had it somewhere, because she distinctly remembered putting it there. She just wasn't sure where it was.

'See?' She asked when she found it. She tossed it in front of Kristin so she could see that she really did have it. 'I also have your albums, but I considered it as supporting a fellow Ozian.'

Kristin blinked back the tears that threatened to flow. She couldn't believe all this support she was getting from Sho. She supported fellow artists, but she couldn't believe Sho knew or even cared about her stuff. She wasn't apart of her cast, met her briefly in passing, but here she was, supporting her. Her heart had never been this full. She was certain it was going to overflow with all this love. She was also becoming certain this woman in front of her was supposed to be in her life for a reason, permanently she hoped. Maybe that's why her and Idina couldn't work, as much as she wanted them to, maybe this is how it was supposed to be. Maybe God really did know what he was doing. Maybe this is why she'd endured all the heartbreak she did.
