(In a Village, far from the edges of the kingdoms)
All was quiet over the town as the sun hung low against the horizon. The day was nearing its end, and most of the townsfolk had retired to their homes, all either relaxing after a hard day of work or resting in preparation for tomorrow.
Close to the center of town several children are seen skipping down the road, their merry laughs echoing down the street as they draw near a large house. Slowly the door opens, revealing a small boy, dressed in a small grey onesie and with two tiny fox ears poking out from the mop of red hair on his head. He greets the other children as they enter the home, shutting the door behind them before locking it securely. With a nod he turns back around, waiting for them all to settle down before addressing them in a soft tone.
"Nana says hurry, or no bedtime story."
At his words all the kids sprang into action, tucking their shoes away in the cabinet beside the door before they darted up the stairs. Their footsteps echoing throughout the home as they ran to their room, quickly changing into their sleepwear and hopping into their beds just as the door slowly creaked open behind them, revealing a young faunus woman standing just outside the door.
With soft footsteps she strolled into the room, looking over each one of the children before smiling as she made her way to the end of the room. Slowly she pulled up a stool from underneath one of the bunks, taking a seat as all the children watched her eagerly. After gently straightening out her dress she nodded and turned to face them with a gentle smile.
"Very good all of you, glad to see such well behaved children under my care. Now then, which story will be for tonight?".
No sooner had the words left her lips then all the children began speaking at once, each one suggesting different tales of various heroes and legends from all over Remnant. This continued on for several more moments before the woman held up her hand, gently gesturing for them to settle down before she slowly turned to face one of the smaller children, a young girl curled up near a window, silently watching the others giving their own suggestions.
"Hmm.....Kara, sweetie. Is there a story that you want to hear?" She inquired in a gentle tone.
Upon hearing her name the girl slowly looked up, brushing her snow white locks away from her face before glancing at the woman. The moonlight now shining down onto her face unhindered, making her soft features and silver eyes clearly visible to all as she spoke up in a quiet tone.
