"Hey, sexy." I turned around.

I knew that voice. The voice of Adam, my ex. AKA, the asshole.

"Adam, so nice to see you."

"It is, isn't it?" Could he not hear the sarcasm in my voice?

"What the hell do you even want?"

"Baby," he said, trying to come closer. "What's wrong? You don't like me anymore?"

"We've been done for 2 months," I sighed.

"C'mon," he said, pushing towards me.

I pushed him off, "Stop! I don't know what you want from me and whatever it is isn't going to happen because I have a new boyfriend."

Adam still stood there, really close to me. "You're an asshole."

"Sure she is," Lauren, a classmate, sarcasted. She's told me she went to school before college with him. I don't talk to her anymore.

Adam rolled his eyes and went over to his seat.

The final class got dismissed, harrah. I tossed my books and papers into my bag and put it on my shoulder, then sighed as I got out to my car.

I turned my car on and my music was terribly quiet. I put in my Homesick  (A Day To Remember) album and turned it up, heading home.

I had just pulled into the drive when I'm Made Of Wax, Larry, What Are You Made Of? came on. I turned it off and went inside, tossing my bag on the floor.

"...hey, hey. " I heard singing from my other room with a computer desk and a chair or two.

I walked into the room, "Hey."

He stopped playing, "Oh, hey. You're home already."

"Yep, at 3:10 when I don't go to work in the afternoon."

"Ahh, ok. Wow. I just started this not too long ago."

"What are you singing?" I asked.

"I was just practicing an acoustic version of a song. It's called 'She Looks So Perfect'. Do you want to hear it?"

I nodded, "Yeah, that sounds nice."

He smiled and started playing it.

When he was done, I clapped. "I like it."

Michael smiled. "Yeah?"

"So did you go home to get your guitar?" I asked, since I had given mine away a long time ago.

"Yeah, then on the way back I got kind of lost. But then I figured it out."

I laughed, it wasn't that hard. "How'd you get lost?"

He blushed, "I'm not a genuis."

I shrugged, "Neither am I. Can you teach me the basics on guitar?"

"Sure," he said. "But that'll take a while. Like, days."

"I wouldn't mind spending time with you," I smiled, Michael returning the smile. "But that's going to have to suck because between school and work, and your band practices.."

"Oh, we usually practice in the morning or mid-day. So it basically works really nicely."

I smiled, "Awesome. So from 5-7 on week days?"

He shrugged, "Works for me, I still get to see you."

After he gave me a small guitar lesson, we made up a random song together that made no sense, causing an uproar of laughter.

"We're funny." Michael said.

I laughed, "It's 6:30, we need to eat."

"Want to go out to dinner?"

"Actual dinner or fast food?"

"Fast food, it's 6:30 I'm starving," he joked.

I smiled and went to change, coming back out in a ruffled black tank top and grey shorts.

"You look nice," he said, gawking at me up and down.

"Thanks. Where are we going? And do you want to change or should I change?"

He nodded, "I'll just grab your leather vest and I should be good. Is it a men's?"

"Yeah, I got it from my gross ex boyfriend." Actually, I stole it.. but I don't need to sound unattractive. He was drunk so he still doesn't know it's gone.

"Cool, is he a badass and should I be scared?" He asked, jokingg yet concerned.

I laughed, "Ohh, funny. No, no, just an asshole."

He smiled, "Good because I'm only badass in games."

We got in his car and he took me to Outback.

*********

When we got home, I got out of the car and he sat there. "You're not coming in?"

Michael shook his head, "I can't.  I have to go do a bunch of stuff early tomorrow, like get groceries and go shopping."

I giggled a bit, "Oh, okay. Well, be careful, then."

He smiled, "I will, don't worry. Text you when I get back."

"Alright," I kissed his cheek, "Bye."

"Bye."

I went back inside and saw that he left his guitar and a piece of paper. I sighed, not wanting to have to make him come back out. I'll just give him it tomorrow.

Don't stop doing what you're doing

cause you know that I like it

everytime you walk In the room

I couldn't stop smiling, if this was a song then it was sounding good.

Michael mentioned to me over text that Ashton was coming over tomorrow to get his guitar.

I'm sure nothing weird or anything will happen.

I texted him good night because I had things to do, like finish up homework due tomorrow. Speaking of, I only have one class from 8:30-10, so I should be home a chunk of the day.
