The Beginning of the End

Megun Harrington pulled up to her high school: Astor High in Astoria Oregon. Megun drives her father's old 1982 Volkswagen Vanagon. She steps out to greet her friends, which consisted of: Alexis Adams(the girlfriend), Rebecca Steps, Haley Daniels, Emily Montin, Emma Spalding, and Trevor Rivers They were talking about Walter, a junior who went to their school and Rebecca was absolutely obsessed.
"Look at him there he goes" Rebecca gazed at her long time crush.
"Honestly I don't see it." Emma said bringing Rebecca back to reality.
"It's not about his appearance it's about what is underneath." Rebecca said.
She said this because Walter had flaming red hair, pale skin (liked he never had been outside), a t shirt and jeans that both were about a size to big, but to complete the ensemble he added a pair of black heelys. They were a little out of their time.
"Okay I don't need to hear another speech about how wonderful he is we get it enough." Emma said a little irritated at Rebecca for bringing it up again.
"Well at least I have some feelings unlike you!" Rebecca said loudly, she hated it when people said anything bad about her "love".
"Okay guys calm down." Alexis said calmly. Alexis was never a fighter and always tried to keep the peace.
"Okay so are you all going to the party at Jose's house?" Megun questioned.
"I think I am." Haley said.
"Oh I don't know, if there is anything illegal I'm not going." Emily said as she glared at Trevor.
Trevor was the one of the group who would try just about anything. Trevor was tall, and has dirty blonde hair shaved on the sides, he always wore a leather jacket, and ripped jeans.
"Why did you look at me when you said that?" Trevor said sarcastically, he knew why and Emily was not the girl to try anything besides see how many rules she could follow at once.
"I think you know!" Emily sneered back at him.
"I will be going but I will have to be there a little late." Emma said "I have to keep the shop open for a while."
Emma had a small tourist shop in town, for selling things like keychains and spices for spells and witchcraft. It was a small thing her family had owned before her, but alas her family was gone died in a tragic car accident a few years ago. Now she lives alone in a small house out by the cliffs where no one dares to go. Emma has black hair that fades into purple like an ombré.
"Well at least you are going." Megun said to reassure her.
Then the bell rang and Megun was off to her first period class, which is one of the only three classes that her girlfriend, whom was Alexis, wasn't in. Megun and Alexis have had a steady eight month relationship and were working on nine. Now Alexis has flower crowns and pastel color clothes. She was one of the most tolerant of the group. Although you can piss her off by hurting her friends, and when that happens you better be running for your life. Megun was extremely happy that she had caught someone like that in her life. Megun had short brown hair with a streak of blonde from some highlights a year ago. She almost always wore converse high tops, and a T-shirt with either leggings or jeans.
Today she wasn't feeling trying so she said her usual "fuck this shit I'm out" in side her brain and took a nap.
She heard the bell ring and it was off to second period: Spanish. Megun couldn't speak Español to save her life but she was glad because today instead of a "prueba"(or quiz), they got to play a game like "Uno"but it has Spanish verbs and is called "Verbo". They all get really into the game and can be heard all the way down the hall.
"Ha Megun draw two" Haley said as she put down a "tomas dos cartas".
"Fuck you!" Megun said as she picked up two cards.
"What's the word?" Rebecca asks as she looks at her hand.
"Llegar." Leah Ocean told her.
Leah Ocean is the second most popular girl in school right after Arianna Consonant. They are best friends. Leah was in the Spanish class and is really competitive when it comes to "Verbo."
"Alright llegaste" Rebecca said as she laid the card down.
"Gosh dang it Rebecca!" Leah half way screams at her.
"I'm sorry Leah." Rebecca says but obviously unapologetic.
"You have nothing Emily." Emma said looking at her cards.
"Shut up Emma" Emily told her and reluctantly taking the card off the top of the deck.
"Ha Verbo" Rebecca said after Haley laid down a card.
