And so, they traveled. Farther and further into the depths of the woods. It was really amazing, how far they traveled... For what would have been a night-by-night distance, they somehow managed to have perfect timing between the three of them. Yet, night had rolled around, and it was time to find shelter. A light had emerged from the dark bushes, and little did Leah or Duncan know that it was a town that Norman was familiar with.
Once they reached the town, it was small. The buildings were almost midget-like, and from the outside it would seem like you'd have to crouch, but they didn't. They were actually quite spacious for regular-sized human beings. The town was almost like magic; small, cute, and there were all types of colorful, fantasy-resembling lights that scattered through the air. Leah could have sworn that the lights were fireflies, but she didn't know. She hadn't seen any in so long that it seemed like a mystery to her.
Norman took a look around before he turned to Leah and Duncan. "The cottages are nearby.. That's where we're gonna stay. They're like hotels, I guess, but we can stay as long as we want for free. I know a guy here, and it's not gonna require much effort to please him. He's kinda low-class, and his species is, too..."
"Species?" Leah asked with a questioning tone. "What exactly are these people?"
"I guess you could call them Hobbits, but I dunno how to explain that," Norman replied with a shrug. "Guess you'll just have to find out."
Leah stood there in shock. Hobbits? Was he joking? Surely...
But he wasn't.
Once they approached the little cottage, two men fronted them.
"Frodo!" Norman exclaimed as he shook the small man's hand. "Glad to see ya. We need to rent out this cottage for a bit, and I was wondering if we could tonight. We'll only be here tonight, we need to get a move on with our little 'adventure', so if you could hook us up, that'd be great, man."
Frodo nodded as he took a strange glance at Duncan. He handed Norman the keys and walked off, side by side another man.
"He doesn't exactly talk much, does he?" Duncan asked with his brow raised. After that weird look, he didn't know what to expect from the freakishly small man.
"Yeah. You won't see much of him around here," Norman said with a firm tone.
Leah scowled and looked the other way.
"So, guys," Duncan piped after everyone settled into their rooms and met in the living room. "Should we all go to the pub? There's a nice one down town. I'm sure you guys'll like it... People from all sorts of places go down there."
Norman grinned. "I could use a drink. Leah?"
Leah stared at him in thought. The last time she went to a bar, which was close enough to resembling a pub, some rather... Frightening events had occurred. Her father got viciously involved, her ex-boyfriend got sent to jail due to a in-depth fight, a fire had started, a couple men got shot and a bunch of hookers ended up bawling their eyes out.
"Sure, I don't see why not."

As they approached the small building, Norman looked back at his two friends. "You guys need to put on some sunglasses for this.. Just in case we end up doing something we shouldn't be."
Leah and Duncan nodded as they both put on a pair.
Norman then knocked the door. A small passage in the front of it had slammed to the side as a pair of green-blue eyes glared at him. "Password?" the voice grimly asked.
"Frosty," Norman murmured quietly and glanced around. The door creaked open, and he tiptoed inside. He took a good inhale of the air before beckoning Leah and Duncan inside.
