I walked out the house to my first day of school, Junior year. I transferred high school since my old school never had the class I wanted to get the job I wanted.
I had on a yellow crop top and white jeans with my cement 4s. I dropped my little brothers Johnny off to elementary school while Mehki still goes to my old high school.
My hair was flat ironed and I had a middle part, my hair pretty long for "darkskins" as most people say.
I walked into the school with my head down low. This girl walked up to me
"Lost?" She said , no duh shit I'm lost I don't know where the going.
"yeah it's my first day" I said flashing a smile
"come on I'll take you to the office" she offered
"thank you"
We're walking down the hall. I got mean stares from girls while boys grinned. I shook my head I'm the darkest girl here, I can tell. Everyone here is light skin or brown skin.

"Kaila" I said as we stepped into the office
"well hello Kaila, I'm hanna welcome to Alvin Heights" she shook my hand
I smiled. "Hello, you must be Kaila Wilson" a lady with white skin and blue eyes came up to me.
"yes I am"
"I'm Principal Mary Goth. Welcome" she handed me my schedule.
"Ms.Martines please guide Ms.Wilson for me"

we finally made our way to class, turns out we have 3 classes together and first periods.
I walked in class, the teacher stopped the lesson, "are you ms.kaila?" I guessing the teacher asked
"yeah." everyone staring at me like they never seen a dark skin girl before?
"she looks like the chalk board" some light skin girl said.
I'm ready to throw hands already. "um excuse me yasmeen that's not the proper way to greet a new student"
"sorry.. hi my names yasmeen. I already know who you are charcoal." her and her clique giggled.
"just shut up yasmeen" a boy said, I looked his way, to be honest I don't like him already even if he's defending me.
I took and empty seat beside Hanna
"that kid that defended you that's my boyfriend. his names Andre" Hanna whispered
k but she's acting like I care? like I didn't ask people love to say tell me stuff when I don't care or asked them anything about it.
I checked my phone while I seen my cousin kyra texted me back.
hey kai, sorry I couldn't drop you to school. I had to work extremely early today... but after school I'll pick you up and we head to James place and him and his friends & cousins I'll join us to the mall. Love you kaii❤️
i texted her back "okay" James is kyra's man. Also her daughters father. Destiny is my little cousin and god daughter. she's a adorable little trouble maker.
