Three

It’s been three months and everything was going amazing. We weren't getting any type of public recognition. So once I reached the office, I was greeted by a stream of paparazzi, they all yelled out to me, "How'd you meet Ben?"

"Are you lovers?!!" Shocked and very uncomfortable I ran in the building as fast as I could hiding my face from the bright flashes going off at every second. "What the hell was that all about?" A coworker asked. "I mean I know, but I'm not sure why they're so interested, I mean shit I take pictures I'm not in them." "Do you want me to call someone?" My coworker asked. "Nah they can't come inside, they should get tired of standing out there soon anyways it's fucking freezing." I was completely wrong about that. After being halfway done with a photo shoot for a magazine I went to go grab some lunch, well at least I attempted to. I was surrounded by question about me and Ben. I couldn't even go home without being followed. So I called Ben. "Benedict, Benedict, can you hear me?"

"Yes, my love what seems to be the matter?"

"Well I am being followed by a huge rush of photographers, if you can even call the that, and I kinda can't get home. Could you...."

"I'll be right down, don't worry."

I didn't take long for Ben to get to my job, but when he was there I could see he was furious. "I'm sorry Norah, I should have been more careful with you...."

"Don't blame yourself it's them." I could tell that nothing I was saying was making him feel better. I lean in and put my hand on his cheek and say "Lets go to the roof."

While on the way to the roof, I get a cheese plate from the table in the studio, a bottle of wine and a blanket. I decided that now was the time for me to be charming.

The office roof was very casual and chill. It had a little mini garden and benches overlooking the city, it was such a quiet place and it was perfect right now. "Well if we're gonna be waiting up here for awhile I brought up some wine and cheese," I say holding up the bottle and walking over to Ben. "That's lovely Darling, but that can wait I've really missed you, you know." He said taking the bottle and cheese out of my hand. "Ben, I know you're a little hungry for something else right now, but unlike you I am starving for some food looking at all those models makes me crave food even more." I kissed his cheek and proceed to pop open the bottle and take a sip. Ben laughed and grabbed the bottle out of my hand and took a long sip. "Hey save some for me," I said turning my back and walking over to one of the benches. "You know what's quite peculiar." Benedict said while taking a drink of wine, "Well, one the benches are on the roof," I giggled and took another drink if wine. "And also how you are becoming the romantic one."  I looked at him and said, "You can't have all the fun. Sometimes you need a break my love." While up there, we lost track of time. By the time we were done with the wine, it was getting dark.

I snuggled in the blanket and put my head on his chest, one thing I really enjoy is how comfortable he made me feel. I was never uneasy, or uncomfortable, I was always calm, despite the butterflies in my stomach.

"It's getting late, they should be gone by now." As Benedict said that, I realized I totally forgot about the paparazzi, all I was focused on was him.

"How about we change things up a bit?"

"What do you mean by that, Mr. Cumberbatch?"

"Well lets go to my flat for a change. I promise no funny business.... Unless you want too." I chuckled and gave him a sweet peck on his lips.

We made our way down to the lobby, making sure the coast was clear, Ben hailed a cab and we left for his flat. Once we arrived I was astonished at how lived in it looked, I saw Ben as more of a neat freak but he's apartment was so cozy and warm.

"I'm in love with your apartment Ben, I thought you'd have everything all uptight and organized, but this is great."

"Did you think I was some snobby neat freak?" He laughed kissing me on the cheek, "Come on I want to show you something." He grabbed hold of my hand leading me down the hall, "Ben if you're trying to show me where the "magic" happens I don't think we're quite there yet."

"What's with you thinking all I want is sex, I mean god I know I look sexy   but I'm ready when you are." He teased. Once we reached the end of the hall he opened up one of the doors that lead to this grand room.

"Holy shit, I mean umm excuse my language but this is an amazing collection!" As I walked into the room I saw a huge collection of books. Classical writers, and poets; of course I find my absolute favorite poet. "Edgar Allen Poe, I really love his short stories and poems, a little juvenile, elementary and creepy I know, but I kinda have this admiration to writers who weren't that appreciated while they were alive. It kind of gives me hope."

"Hope about what you are appreciated. I love your work."

"Yeah well, you're are probably the only person who even knows about what I do." I know it seemed pretty sappy but I felt I could be this way with him because I knew he would never judge me. "I'm almost completely certain that you love what you do. So what if no one knows what you do or appreciates it, at least it matters to you." Benedict said trying to encourage me, and it was working a little.

I looked around his library to see what else I could find when I see a few of my pictures in a frame.

        "Hey Ben, what's this?"

"Heh I told you I was a fan, I hope you don't think that it's a little bit, well umm, weird." I felt a lumped in the back of my throat, and I knew that it meant tears were soon to follow. It wasn't tear of sadness, definitely not, it was happiness. I finally felt appreciated even if it was by one person. He saw me crying and wiped a tear away smoothly with his thumb. I mouthed the words thank you but nothing came out, because he was giving me the warmest sincerest kiss I've ever felt in my life. I pulled away and looked deep into his deep blue eyes. "Norah, what is it?" He asked so sincerely. "Nothing, it just feels like a dream, god Ben we've only been together for three months, and...."

"You think we're going to fast?" He cut me off. "No no... No....maybe?" I questioned, "I don't know Ben.... I'm sorry I ruined such a great moment." I felt ashamed, but it felt good to say it out loud. "I understand," he cupped my chin, and lifted up so our eyes met again, "I get it and yes I admit we have been moving a bit fast, so let's just take it slow how about dinner tomorrow night, I'll cook for you."

"Yeah I'd like that," I gave a hopeful smile before he pecked my lips. Ben was such a romantic and he understood me and I him.
