Finding Cinderella

Chapter 4

3rd person's Point of View

The bell rang for lunch and Emily was walking out of English. Her backpack falling to her elbow and her hair falling to her face.

She made it to her locker without being trampled. She put her books away and took out the books for her afternoon classes which were History, Creative Writing and Study hall.

She fixed up her hair and placed her backpack on her left shoulder. Once she was done, she went to the cafeteria and grabbed a tray from the lunch line.

Emily was so caught up in her mind that she didn't notice Cristal and Alyssa who were behind her and calling her name.

"Emy!" Cristal said and tapped Emily's shoulder.

Emily came out of her trance and turned around. Her eyes widened when she realized her two best friends where there.

"Im soo sorry guys, I was-"

"Spacing out again." Alyssa interrupted. "It's fine."

"So what happened why didn't we see you for our morning classes." Cristal asks picking up a chicken sandwich and a small bag of chips.

"Yeah we were trying to call you before you left English but you ran out." Alyssa said picking up a chicken caesar wrap and a slice of strawberry shortcake.

"Sorry guys I was just feeling a little off." Emily replied as she picked up a sandwich and a side of fries.

"Okay then." Cristal says as all three of them get out of line to go pay for their lunch.

They each grabbed a bottle drink. Emily getting her favorite soda, Cristal's being ice tea, and Alyssa's being sparkling water.

They paid for the stuff and went outside to sit in their usual table in the courtyard under to Oak tree. They all grabbed a seat in the circular table.

Someone sat next to Cristal. It was Nash. He placed his lunch down on the table and his backpack next to his side.

"Hi guys." He greeted.

"Hey Nash." They all said at the same time.

Next, Jack Gillinsky and his girlfriend Emma Martin. Him and Emma have been together since the beginning of the year. Emma and Alyssa coincidently go to the same dance studio along with Grace Dallas (Cameron's little sister by one year) and been close friends. She's also in the volleyball team with Cristal and does gymnastics too.

Emma has brown-ish blonde hair and brown eyes. She's a fair height which means she's shorter than Jack. Today she is wearing a pair of white and blue stripped pants and a black button-down shirt. Her shoes consisted of black wedges and her hair was pulled up in a ponytail with a black bow on it. Her makeup was a little dark on the eyeshadow but it makes her eyes pop out more.

Jack was wearing a black hoodie and cargo shorts. They're holding each others hands underneath the table.

"Hey guys." Jack said.

"Hey." They all replied.

"What were you all talking about?" Emma asks.

The next person to sit at table was Cameron. He sat down next to Alyssa. He smiled at her and she smiled back at him.

Cristal who was across from Emily mouthed the words "What?" confused. Emily just looked her puzzled.

One minute Cam and Lyss can be like a war-zone, the next they would act like nothing happened and be friends.

The final two people to sit at the table were Grace Dallas and Taylor Caniff. Grace and Taylor have been dating for over a year now considering Grace was one year younger than Taylor and everyone else.

Grace has light blonde hair and bluish-brown eyes. She's in the cheerleading squad with Cristal and has been getting along with everyone at the table.

Today she was wearing a hot pink skater dress with a black oversized cardigan and floral Keds. She had her hair straightened and her makeup consisted of light pink eyeshadow, eyeliner, and a hint of blush.

Taylor was wearing his light blue bandana with a white muscle tank that had a diamond and New York's skyline on it and jean shorts.

"Hey so what's everyone talking about?" Grace asks as she sat down. Taylor having his arm around her shoulder.

"Nothing really." Emily replied.

Cameron suddenly got up on the table. He cupped his hands to his mouth. "Hey Matt over here."

Alyssa got annoyed and tugged on his jeans.

"Sit your ass down before you get into trouble." She warned.

Emily looked up from her food and saw Matt coming over here and heart began to beat a hundred miles per hour.

She fixed her hair and flashed him a smile. He smiled back at her and took a seat next to Emily.

"Hey guys so I would all like you to meet Matt." Nash said. "He's part of the Magcon family."

Everybody smiled at him.

"Hey aren't you the girl that gave me a tour of the school earlier?" Matt asked Emily.

"Yeah." Emily replied.

"You're that Erica girl right?" Matt asks.

Emily frowned a bit but came back to a normal face. " Uh my name's actually Emily."

"Emily right." Matt said before engaging in a conversation with the guys about a new vine or youtube video.

The rest of the girls were just eating and trying to ignore all the boys loud voices but Emily was feeling down. In her mind she was thinking, "How am I suppose to get him to like me when he doesn't even remember my name?"
