Nathan’s POV:

I was leaving the dance studio after taking to Jayne about the upcoming tour. And as I was walking, I sent a text to the guys to see where they all where, but then I ran into someone. When I looked up, I saw a girl, but not just any girl; she was the kind of girl that you wouldn’t want to live without. My first thought of her was just “Wow, she’s beautiful.” But, I was quickly snapped back to reality when she said, “Oh! Sorry I wasn’t paying attention and I’m late and I’m so sorry.” I felt bad that she thought it was her fault, so I nervously apologized. “Oh it’s ok, it’s actually my fault, I was too busy texting.” I really didn’t want to sound stupid in front of her, even though I barely knew her, because she made me feel normal.

I wanted to stop and talk to her but before I could say anything, she ran towards the stairs and I weirdly just stood there and smiled at her. “I’m such a weirdo.” I said before smacking myself. Unlike other girls, there was something about her that I couldn’t figure out but I wanted to. I didn’t know when I would see her again but I hoped it would be soon, so I asked the receptionist if she knew where that girl was going and she replied with, “I think she’s going to the twelfth floor for some audition.” And with that, I was off to the twelfth floor.

Once I got up there, I waited to see if she was actually coming here and when I saw her, my heart skipped a beat. I don’t know what that was about but that’s never happened with other girls I’ve seen. After that moment, I knew that I had to be with her, no matter what happened. “Brianna Williams!” I heard coming from the lady behind the table. “Wow, Brianna. So that’s her name.” I said with amazement. I watched as she got up and walked into the studio, she looked confident yet nervous. Once she was in the studio, I left the staircase and to my surprise, every girl there knew who I was. “Not again.” I said in panic but before they could speak I said, “Shhhhhh, I’m not here.”

After I told them that, they all just nodded but kept staring. I then eased my way over to the studio door and pushed it slightly open so that I could see her perform. She was amazing and so graceful. She looked so happy when she danced, like there was nobody there but her. I wanted to walk in and tell her how beautiful her dancing was but that would ruin the surprise. (See, Jayne told me that one of the girls didn’t know what they were auditioning for and since the other girls knew who I was, I assumed that she was the lucky one who didn’t know.) But while I was watching, I felt as though somebody was watching me and it turned out to be Jayne. I began to panic because I thought that she was going to yell at me and tell me to go away, but she didn’t. Instead, she waited for my reaction and once she saw it, she knew that she found our new tour dancer.

I became so distracted by Jayne watching my reaction that I didn’t realize that Brianna was coming my way. As I heard her footsteps get closer, I ran to the staircase; and while I was in the staircase, she came out looking disappointed as though she didn’t do well. I watched her walk into the elevator but then I noticed another girl running to the elevator screaming, “Hold the door!” I watched as the girl got on the elevator and then the doors closed. I didn’t know what was going to happen with Brianna but I know that I had to get to know her better and be there for her. So, I left the staircase and went to talk to Jayne.

I opened the door and to my surprise, Jayne read my mind and said, “You want her to get the position, don’t you?” I just nodded. The woman next to Jayne, known as Mrs. Knight from NYU, Jayne and I all sat down to discuss who the top five girls could be. In the back of my mind, I knew that Brianna had to be one of them so we could connect. And after four hours of discussion and some arguments, we decided who the five girls would be. Jayne then told me to take the list home to the guys and show them who we chose. I hope that they like the girls that we chose because I put what each guy liked in a girl into consideration. I can’t wait to see how this goes.
