My fist strikes something squishy and I almost heave up my meager breakfast. Now there's no way I can kill him. He's already dead, there isn't exactly much more damage I can do. But I can at least try to stall him, for the sake of the people.
I stuff my hand round his esophagus and clench tight whilst driving my knee into his stomach. This is a move almost all little orphan girls have to learn on the streets of London, or else where would we all be? But instead of striking rotten skin, my knee just falls through the bandaging and hits something grotesquely straight and hard. His corroded spine.
"Foolish girl." He says in his snakelike voice. "I have nothing left for you to attack! For I am merely bandage and bone and magic. There is nothing you can do to harm me!"
"Oh yeah?" I growled. "How about this?"
I moved my hand from his bony throat to the top of his skull. With one quick motion, I twist my hand and it comes off cleanly with a "snap!"
My knee still pinning his spine down to the earth, I fling his decapitated skull over the barren land the way I would throwing stones into the Thames. I can still hear it screaming as it bounces into the dust.
Hey guys sorry I was gone for so long! This story isn't really my first priority, and I've been so busy lately too. But school is out now and I have more time to write.
