I fixed my Armani suit before watching the intoxicated person I call my wife go to the stage. The fumes and smelly bar filled the air. I was afraid I'd end up smelling just as worse.

I eye everyone in the circle who are cheering Harlem on.

I don't understand how she could make friends? She is annoying, she talks way to much for my liking. She was irritating and she was-was so WASTED.

As all the bikers eyed her in amusement, I fixed my tie before sitting up straight. I waited for the horror of vocal that would escape her mouth.
It's a good thing I knew no one here, such an embarrassment.

Then finally music erupts in the whole bar.

Oh great!!! The song ' what up by 4 non blondes' comes on.

How embarrassing I say to myself.

But the guys seem to be digging it.

Hmmm I happen to look back in her direction to notice she is staggering before putting the microphone up to her lips.

" 25 years and my life is still trying to -get up that great big hill of hope-for a destination. " she sang.

I couldn't help but notice how different she looked, so happy.... so free.

Lights spot on her for the best attention. Her voice was..... was angelic. She sang every note just as perfect.

" and I say heeeyyy, heeeyeyy ! And I say heeeyyy y, what's going on!!"
The lyrics rang through the audience, and not only was the circle of men paying attention to her but the whole bar was to now.

Her voice had clarity, it had meaning.

It had heart.

I swallow hard at the thought of how amazing she looked on that stage. Her body moving to rhythm, proudly getting in to detail of the song.

What was I thinking? She was nothing but scum.

But I couldn't help but think about how strong she was.... stepping up to Vince in the way she did, after how I've treated her.

She didn't know me. Yet she managed to have my back.

I stop my thoughts to focus back on that angelic voice of hers.

I was feeling something foreign inside of me......

She looked a sloppy mess at the moment but she still managed to grab attention.

Even she had a leather arm band. Haha !

The song had finally ended, but the group of men declared more of her vocals.

" More !!! " they screamed with raised beers in their hands. I as always just sat quietly and impatient.

She bowed very deeply before saying " More you shall have my friends !!"

" how about a duet ! With the husband !!!" One man said with a leather fringed jacket said.

No,no,no !!! I don't sing !

I shakes my head no several times before a tough one roughed me up there next to Harlem.

" yes a duet with my dear husband!" She said slurring.
I awkwardly stand next her, Knowing she was no match for me.
