What if I told you that when the devil kissed me it felt like heaven? Or that he was quite the gentle lover? To me, he was more of an angel than the demon people had to describe him to be.. Well after a very long journey I had come to fall in love with that Devil.

It all started back in my sophomore year of College. It was the last class of the last day before we were out for three weeks of winter break. The Math professor had decided to give us the day off since we were literally getting out in less than five minutes.

"So do you have any plans this break?" Dorian asked.

"Sleep! And lots of it!" Charlie exclaimed as she looked over at Dorian before they both turned their attention toward me and awaited my response. I didn't know they were waiting for me to answer as I was typing up a paper that was due tomorrow night at eight but I had put it off till now with two more pages to go.

"Earth to Sadie." Charlie waved her hand by my face. I looked up from my laptop and over at them with a deer-in-the-headlights look.

"You said something?"

"Yeah, Dorian asked if we had any plans during break," Charlie spoke up.

"I dunno. I have a lab at a body farm plus this paper due then after that probably stay at home and read." I said before returning back to my paper. I loved them both dearly but I had to get this done.

"Sadie." Charlie sighed as she shook her head disappointed with my answer. Her dark brown hair got a bit in her face as she did and honestly, she was quite beautiful. She was tall, tan, and had the most beautiful hazel eyes known to man.

Now Dorian was the cool guy everyone wanted to be with cause he was the quarterback for the University of Nevada college football team, but honestly, if they truly knew him he is the most weirdest human being on this planet. He had dirty blonde hair that was always perfectly tousled along with sun-kissed skin and chocolate-brown eyes. His jawline was so sharp it could probably kill a person. He had this beauty mark that sat on the right side of his neck towards his collarbone.

And finally me from our little trio. I had natural blonde ombre-looking hair and according to Charlie some unnatural emerald green eyes. I was short and for sure was not as tan as my friends but I wasn't albino either.

"What?" I shrugged as I took a sip from my water bottle.

"Any lectures?" Dorian asked.

"Yep, just one that's luckily an hour long and that I can watch online," I said with a smile. I was lucky enough to get accepted into the early college program back in high school and even luckier they offered Forensics pathology.

"I mean that's both good and bad. Good, you can watch it from home but bad you still have a lecture." Charlie shrugged.

"I don't mind the lecture. I honestly thought can't wait for the lab!" I grinned.

"Yeah but it's at a body farm. Aren't you gonna get creeped out by seeing all of those decomposed bodies?" She asked

"Not really. You kinda get used to it with this line of work." I paused. "Plus a lot of gory movies."

That's when the professor spoke up.

"Alright everyone enjoy your winter break! Now get out of my classroom!" He smiled as he waved us on.

"Sadie message us and we'll have to do something during the break!" Charlie smiled before looking over at the door to see her boyfriend leaning against the doorframe of the classroom. Before she left she gave both Dorian and me a hug. When she left Dorian looked down at me.

"Need a ride home?" He asked throwing his bag over his shoulder as I shoved my laptop into my bag.

"Yes, please! The last thing I need is to ride the bus home today."

"Well let's get going otherwise we'll never make it out of the parking lot." With that, we took our leave to head out to the student parking lot. Getting through the crowd was easy with Dorain's height and build. The guy was 25 and a fucking giant well at least compared to my 5'4 height.

We soon reached his 1968 Pontiac Firebird. I threw my heavy backpack into the backseat before sliding into the front passenger seat. Dorian turned the key and it roared.

"Next stop the McKnight residents." He smiled as we made our way out of the parking lot.

Within just a short ten-minute drive we were in front of my house.

"Thanks! I owe you!" I said hopping out and grabbing my bag.

"No prob."

"Hey! Message me when you get home. Okay?" I pointed a finger at him with a serious tone.

"Sounds good! See ya later Sadie." He laughed before he took off down the street and disappeared onto the main road. I smiled before making my way to the front door. I took my key out of my pocket and unlocked the door before stepping inside and closing the door behind me.

"I'm home!" I hollered loudly. It was silent.

"They must not be home yet," I said referring to my parents.

I proceed to the foot of the stairs leading upstairs and looked up.

"Boys!" there were two loud thuds before the sound of running came to a stop at the top of the stairs. There stood two massive dogs. One was named Duke and he was a gorgeous Belgian Tervuren Shepherd. And the other was Moose who was a Bernese Mountain Dog.

"Aw! Dere's my boys!" I said dropping my stuff and crouching down. Moose barked before hauling ass down the stairs to about tackle me along with Duke.

"Okay! Okay!" I laughed. "Outside you two!"

They both took off towards the back door as I got up from the floor. I made my way back to open the sliding glass door to let them out into the massive backyard. I then proceed to close the door and walked over to the pantry passing the fridge. There sat a yellow sticky note from my mother. I pulled it off the door and looked at it.

        Dearest Sadie,

Your father and I are out of town on a business trip. The fridge and pantry are both full. There's $500 of emergency money sitting in my nightstand drawer. If we aren't back by the start of your next semester have a great semester!

Love you always,

Mom and Dad

"Well looks like I'm by myself." I looked back over at the key holder to see the keys to my father's 2010 Chevy Camaro. I smiled thinking that was my sorry gift from my father, was leaving me the keys to his car.

I focused back on my mission to grab a snack. Climbing the counter I pulled a granola bar out from the box before hopping down and letting the boys back in. I locked the back door and went to the front door to lock it as well.

"Living room boys!" I hollered as I took my place on the sofa. Duke and Moose came in and took their places on either side of me.

Turning on the TV I flipped through the stations before settling on the news. They were from what it looks like the middle of an interview with the Police Chief.

"Just make sure you're locking your windows and doors and if you have any alarms set them. If you see anything suspicious please call in and report it." He concluded.

"That's what local police chief Durian had to say on the recent break-ins happening throughout the city. So again like he said please lock your windows and doors and set those alarms." Expressed the news lady.

"Someone would have to be really stupid to break into this house with you two." I smiled petting both of them. They both wagged their tails in response. I knew they would protect me with me being their human. Plus if anyone did I knew the code to the gun safe that sat in my father's office.

After a short while, I finished my granola bar and snuggled into the couch before sleep consumed me.
