"Jackie! Come down here" my mom screamed at the top of her lungs from downstairs.
"Ugh what do you want Mom"
"Will you please help your little sister carry a box up to her room"
"Yeah sure" I yelled as I set my phone on my bed a headed down stairs. We are currently in the process of moving into this house which totally sucks but to be fair things weren't exactly great back where we used to live and I made a few enemies so I'm glad we got out of there but I'm not sure this crappy small town where everyone knows everything about everybody is much better. Unfortunately my mom is the type of person that doesn't like new surroundings and would enjoy a small town like this. My little sister Abby, will probably love it here, she's only 9 so she's pretty open to new ideas and will probably view this whole disaster as a new adventure. When my dad was still around he would take me and Abby camping almost every weekend but I doubt that will ever happen again and to top it all off I bet every boy here is just another small town jock who's only joy in life is football and if you ask me that doesn't sound enjoyable whatsoever. I'm 17 and love just about everything other than rap and small towns. I walked down the stairs of our new house to see my sister struggling to pick up a box of her barbies and yes she is nine and her favorite thing is still barbies.
"Here I got it" I said as I lifted the box from her arms.
"Thank you" she said while cracking her back acting as if it was hurting.
"So have you seen him yet" my mom popped into the conversation pointing to the house next door to ours.
"Seen who?" I asked looking at the house.
"The boy next door. He looks about the same age as you and his bedroom faces yours"
"Okay so, a boy lives next door big deal"
"Well it wouldn't be a big deal if he wasn't cute!"
"Oh please mom stop you are not going to try to set me up with the neighbors kid."
"What sweetie, I still know what's good" she said as she gave me a quick wink.
"Okay we are not doing this right now, I'm going to my room to unpack" I left with a chuckle, I mean can you believe my mom she's nuts.
Later that night I heard a loud thumping from outside my window but, by this point it was already dark out and I was in my pjs already so I decided to stay in my bed and not worry about it. Then it started to get louder so I went to my window and move the curtains aside to see what looked like a couple of high schoolers my age sitting around talking to each other while blasting music so mound the whole neighborhood could hear it. I tried to wave them down but they didn't see me, I quickly walked into my sisters room and grabbed a few legos and began chucking them at the neighbors window. After three hits a tall boy with brown eyes and brown hair (who was admittedly very handsome) came to his window and lifted it up only for the music to blast even louder. I signaled for him to turn it down as he gave a slight smirk and kind of shrugged his shoulders as if he couldn't hear me. I grabbed my notebook and quickly scribbled "Could you turn your music down?" He looked over at his friends and gave them a slight chuckle before turning back at me and shaking his head no and then closed his window. I'm not the type of person to engage in petty affairs and instead like to confront the problem head on and deal with it that way. So I quickly changed out of my pajamas and put on a pair of jeans before heading next door.
I loudly knocked on the door to be sure he could hear me but he didn't answer so I rang the doorbell very impatiently when suddenly the music stopped and I could hear footsteps.
The tall boy came to the door frame with out a shirt on and smirkingly said "How can I help you?"
"Well if you could turn your music off that would be great" I said as I resisted my eyes from wondering down his chest. I could tell just from his arms he played some kind of sport (my money's on football).
"Sure thing. Sorry for the trouble" he said as he went to close the door. I stepped back astonished by how easy that was, he seemed like the kind of person to give me a hard time about it. As I walked away I quietly said
"Thank you"
I made it back to my room and changed back into my pajamas and was now ready to head to sleep when all of a sudden the loud music came booming all through the street. I quickly hopped up and put my shoes and pants back on as a hurried down the stairs and out the door. This time I pounded on the door as loud as I could and before I could finish my last knock the boy came back out so quickly I almost hit his chest with my fist. This time I wasn't able to resist temptation and slowly looked him up and down, he had a very attractive body and a gorgeous six pack. He gave a slight cough to direct my attention back up to his eyes, I quickly jerked my head back up while internally shaming myself for looking at him so lustfully. Once my attention was back up to him he laughed and said
"What can I do for you?" Ahem I cleared my throat before sputtering out
"Can you please turn your music down?"
"Sure thing" he said as he went to close the door
"Wait..." I said as I used my hand to hold the door open.
"Yes?" he said as he leaned in towards me.
"I'm new here and my sister has a hard time adjusting to new places and your obnoxious music is disrupting her sleep"
"You're new here, huh?"
"Yes, we moved in yesterday" I lightly rolled my eyes to show I wasn't interested in this conversation continuing. He lifted his head from the ground and asked "what school are you going to?"
"Chico high school, why do you ask?"
"No reason. But, I imagine you'll need a tour guide, right?"
"Yes I suppose I would" he took a second to look me up and down before continuing and frankly I can't blame him, I have a figure eight shaped body and most times a can't go far with out someone starring at me and at the moment I'm wearing my rather revealing pajama top and jeans, he then continued.
"Well perhaps I could show you around, after all I am the most loved person there. You would get some serious credit for hanging out with me" he could help but smile as I started at him with a look of disapproval before saying.
"Let me guess you are a 'chick magnet' the football captain and a dirtbag" I then smirked as a saw the smug look disappear from his face.
"Ouch you've got a bite don't you"
"I can" I said as I leaned my forearm against the frame of his front door.
"Well as much fun as all that would be I'm actually quite the opposite"
"Oh really?" I raised my eyebrow and spoke sarcastically. He then began to shut the door as he stated.
"I'll see you tomorrow for your tour"
Astonished at the fact that he would close the door on me I stood there for a few moments before going back to my house.
