"All that happened huh?" I say with a small smile

"Huh... he never told me that he bumped into you... then again he really never had a reason too... I think." Azura thinks

"...Huh? What's going on?" Suki blinks and looks at the three of us.

"You... weren't listening?" Azura looks at her with an arched eyebrow

"I'll tell it to you again later..." Yashiro sighs before looking at me. "You're up. Story time." Yashiro smiles and looks at me with intrest

"Well... where should I start...?" I ask them.

"Why not start from your childhood. We really don't know much about you." Suki smiles sweetly and I nod in reply

"Get comfty..." I close my eyes and begin.
---------------------------------------------------------
I dedicated my entire life to training. Not a single day would I miss a day. I'd take breaks to eat and do things humans need to do but whenever I could, you'd find me in our clans training grounds. Ever since I was a little girl, I trained so I could accomplish what I thought my Fate would be.

The Ultimate Guardian.

The title passed down from Raijin to Raijin. We learned the history of the previous Guardians in our clans school. The ones we learned about the most were The Legendary Three.

The first Raijin. Saisho Raijin. The legendary Guardian themselves. They would begin this tradition and clan. The Raijin Clan. Hidden away in one of Japan's forests.

The Raijin the gods feared. Ares Raijin. Claimed to be the strongest Guardian and most feared. Ares put a new meaning to what it means to be a Guardian. Cold hearted and didn't hesitate. Never lost a single fight or failed a mission. He was unkillable and unbeatable. Only a few can say they have seen the true power of Ares. Not even I have.

The Female Guardian. Sena Raijin. Sena was the first female Guardian of the Raijin. Most Raijin girls set off to do their own thing or stayed with the clan in the forest to take care or protect the clan with the males that didn't become the next Guardian. But Sena. She impressed Ares. The only Raijin that managed to impress Ares. They said that that day was the first time people have seen him smile. Sena was taken under Ares wing and became the first female Guardian. This sparked inspiration to the girls. They could do it too!

And that was my goal. My inspiration. I would impress Sena Raijin and become the next Guardian.

And it almost happened. Sena Raijin was at the school and I manged to catch her eye. It was a rare opportunity. Sena had been traveling the world, helping some agency with her talent. So I went all out that day to catch her eye and it worked. Sena took me under her wing. One day though she dissapeared. They had said she had to leave. Our training sessions ended. I was sad. Upset. I had a little hope though that one day she'd return to claim me as the Ultimate Guardian.

Instead he came.

Ares Raijin had returned from his journey. After Ares passed the torch to Sena he went out to travel the world. And now he had found himself back home. What was shocking is that he was here for me. Sena had contacted him and told him to train me while she was gone.

It didn't last long. I trained with Ares but I wasn't as good as him and he didn't hold back for me. He couldn't see what she saw in me and left once again. I never understood until I was older. I was weak and didn't understand what it meant to be a Guardian. Just because I was tough didn't mean I had what it took. I didn't have heart. I didn't have the mind of a Guardian. So I chnaged my ways and hoped Sena or Ares would return so I could try again to prove my worth...

...One days news broke out into the camp.

Sena had done something no other Raijin had done. She named an outsider the next Guardian. This was shattering to me. It wasn't forbidden but no one ever thought it'd happen.

We never knew the name of this Guardian. So he was dubbed The Rouge Raijin or The Rouge Guardian.

I wasn't going to sit and accept it. Why had Fate do this? I was the next Guardian. What did Sena see in this person? I left the camp and researched. Then I found it out.

Azura Otonashi, going by the name of Azura Raijin. He was an Ultimate which meant he'd be going to Hope's Peak. I managed to get in as the Ultimate Bounty Hunter. I spent years watching Azura and his class.

Then one day it happened.

The Tragedy.

The world had fallen.

Ultimate Despair had caused this as I would soon find out.

Not long after tvs and billboards all around the world turned on and broadcasted everywhere the Killing Game of the 75th Class.

There he was again.

Azura.

I knew he would live. He was the Ultimate Guardian. I had watched him for years.

And right I was. He solved cases alongside the Ultimate Lawyer, Layne Alvarez, and found the Mastermind. After execution and a few years, Killing Games were broadcasted over and over except unlike Azura and Layne, the Masterminds had won, and these Masterminds weren't like the first. These were doing these willingly. They were the ones the Followers of Despair worshipped. The Remnants. The ones Angel Kiyo trusted the most.

Then she hosted her own game and finally. Ever since the first killing game...

The Mastermind had falled.

Except this time, the people had a beacon of light.

Hope.

Kanye Nakahara had a bit of an impact on some people.

The Ultimate Hope.

I though was like Azura.

Hope? Despair? Each side is worthless and pointless. You can't have one without the other. A war that could never be won. A battle with no end.

But one goal was clear. You couldn't kill Despair with Hope. Despair was the enemy of course. You have the kill the main head. It was clear after Angel died that there was someone else pulling the strings.

If Angel was the True Ultimate Despair then why was the world a wreck? Nothing had changed. So there had to be someone else

I had no struggle living in this world. I killed easily.

And I lived until I caught a lead.

Shitai City. Ultimate Despair was stationed here. And look where it ended up.

Another fucking game.
---------------------------------------------------------
"Huh. So that's the Tale of Yin, huh?" Yashiro blinks "It could be a book. The False Guardian. How does that sound? I think it'd be a hit!" He grins "Drama! Romance! Action! The story of a sad girl who wants to achieve her biggest dream an- OW!" Yahsiro was cut off by me pinching him hard

"Shut it, lover boy." I pout and sigh

"Lover boy? That's a new one~" He teases me.

I glare "I'll cut off your limbs worse than what we saw in Arvo's lab."

"You wouldn't kill your beloved part-" I glare at him again "...Understood." He sighs

"Hey uh... If you really want the title you can have it Yin. I really don't mind..." Azura said to me but I shook my head

"No you deserve it. You protect the ones you care about. And I hunt the ones I am told to eliminate..."

I smile

"That. Was our destiny."
