Ch.14

Ashton's POV

Christmas Eve is finally here. I already wrapped presents and everything. I was going to spend lunch with family, then I'm going to take Ashlynn to ice skating and a little walk looking at Christmas decorations in the city and finally ask her to be my girlfriend. I am really nervous, because it seems sudden, and I don't want to want her to feel like she's getting pushed into things. And after that, I will invite her to dinner at my place and give her her present here.. If she isn't creeped out about me asking her out..

I got dressed in a nice button up shirt and a black leather jacket with black skinny jeans with black VANS. I wanted to look presentable for my family and for later. I combed my hair a little to the side and brushed my teeth.

"Hey, Ashton! Are you done getting ready?" I heard my mum call.

"Yeah, I'm coming!" I replied rushing out of my room.

I walked in the kitchen where she was fiddling with Harry's hair. I chuckled to myself at his annoyed face. I am glad she finally left mine alone. It took a long time to get her to stop. I was just as annoyed as Harry is now.

She finally left his hair alone and looked up at me. "Well Ashton, don't you look handsome!" She gushed trying to pinch my cheeks.

Lauren walked in. She looked gorgeous. Me saying this in a brother way.. Which means more fights for any dicks that mess with her.

"My Lauren, you are so beautiful. Credit to me for makeup and hair," mum confidently said hugging her.

Oh, stop. Where do you think I get it from?" She chuckled and blushed

"Okay, let's go! Be carful outside! It's slippery!" My mum said before walking out.

Ashlynn's POV

Today has been a great day so far. We went and visited family, which was really nice to get to meet them.. Well, meet them again. I also got to meet one of Luke's close friends named Michael. He was really funny, and I hate to admit, but cute. Now we are going home so I can get ready for what ever Ashton has planned for me this evening. I'm really nervous! I am not sure why! It's not like it's a date or anything. Maybe it is.. Oh gosh I don't know! I just have to look decent for whatever it is!

"Ashlynn! Stop talking to yourself and get outta the car!" I suddenly hear Luke laugh. Mom was already inside. "Oh, y-yeah, whoops," I giggled getting out.

I had enough time to take a shower and brush my teeth. I curled my hair and put on a snow flake print black and white sweatshirt and darkish pink-purple scarf with black tights and my brown Uggs. I then put on deodorant and vanilla body mist. I heard a knock on the door shortly after.

I opened the door to Ashton leaning against the door frame. Well that's hot.. Fuck. Stop staring.

"Well, hello to you too.. Are you ready to leave?" He smirked and giggled. Fuck. He saw me staring. "Uh, yeah. Let's go.." I laughed as I walked out the door with him.

The car ride was silent , but not terribly awkward. I wonder where we are going. I'm growing really impatient. I hate surprises..

"Where are we going anyways, and when are we going to be there?" I whined.

"Chill, I'm not telling you! we are almost there!" He said in a cheerful yet mocking tone. I groaned loudly in response, which earned an eye roll and laugh from him.

We finally stopped after a short while. It was this dome. What the hell? I gave him a confused look.

"Its an iceskating rink. Yeah, it's only part of your gift," he shyly smiled.

"Oh my gosh! I always wanted to go iceskating! And there's more?" I asked surprised. "Yes! Now let's go!" He yelled grabbing my hand running toward the building.

We finally made it inside. It wasn't really crowded, thankfully. He quickly went up and paid for our tickets and ice skates. After struggling with our skates, we finally made it to the ice rink.

"Okay, grab my hand and follow me!" He called grabbing my hand.

We stumbled right when we tried to move, which caused us both into fits of laughter. He grabbed the wall, then helped me up with his other hand, still laughing.

"Good job.." I said sarcastically.

"Shut up. You don't know how either," he stuck out his tongue. "You better stick that tongue back in your mount before we fall and it gets stuck to the ice," I chuckled.

We attempted many other times to skate again, which failed. We actually had a few times where we almost had it, then one of us would ruin it. But I have to say, that was really fun.

We were riding in the car again talking and laughing about us iceskating and other things and not long after, we parked by a tree.

"Mind to take a walk around the city and look at the decorations?" He asked helping me out of the car. "Gladly," I smiled accepting his offer.

We walked around hand in hand and looked at the houses and street lights and the lights everywhere. It was beautiful. We finally reached a stop by the big Christmas tree in the middle of the city.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?" I heard him sigh.

"Yeah.. it is," I quietly replied leaning my head against his shoulder still facing the Christmas tree.

"Ashlynn?" I hear him ask as he grabbed both of my hands and gently made me face him.

"Yeah?" I replied smiling at him.

"I was w-wondering.. If you'd like to be, my uh, girlfriend.. If it's too sudden I understand. Sor-" I excitedly hugged him making him stop talking.

"Of course. I would love to," I grinned while my head was still buried in his chest.

I looked up at him. He had the biggest smile on his face, which made me smile back even wider. I looked at his lip for a bit then slowly leaned in and put my lip onto his. Our lips moving in sync. A bunch of butterflies in my stomach. Let me rephrase that. A whole zoo. It felt magical. After a few minutes, we finally broke the kiss.

"We should get going, I still have a nice dinner at my place waiting, plus I have one more gift," he winked.

"Sure, as long as it doesn't involved me

being raped," I laugh.

"No, it's just dinner and jewelry.. Unless you want that.." He chuckled wiggling his eyebrows. I playfully slapped him. "I'm fine with the jewelry and dinner," I giggled.

We bundled up together in his coat on our way to the car.

Today was seriously the best day of my life. I got to meet more family, Ashton took me iceskating and a walk in the town and then now we are a couple. I never thought life can get as good as this. Definitely going to tell Calum and Kate everything considering they missed A LOT.
