Tessa's P.O.V.
By the time Kathalee finished explaining everything to Mike I felt horrible. It's not my fault that her brother turned me dark though. I shouldn't have fallen into his trap, but he put a spell on me. I can't tell Kathalee and I sure as hell can't turn light now. I didn't want to put my best-friend in danger, but the dark consumes me more and more everyday. My thoughts no longer feel like mine ever since the transformation.
“ Tess?” I heard my name called and Kathalee was waving her hand in front of my face. “ Tess?” I realized she was using my nickname too.
“ Yea?” I said shaking myself out of my thoughts.
“ What's wrong?” Kathalee asked looking worried.
“ Nothing I was just thinking.” I waved it off as nothing.
“ Okay. Well I guess we better get going.” Kathalee and I stood up to leave, but Mike spoke.
“ If you want I can give you two a ride home.”
“ No it's fine my dad would flip if he seen you. No offense.” She said heading to the door. I followed behind her. The longer I'm dark the more I will change. My appearance and everything else. Hopefully Kathalee will notice before it's too late.
We walked out to the road and then took off running. I was too tired to run so I decided to fly. By the time we reached her house it was dark. We walked in and in two seconds later Kathalee's dad was asking her questions and Dakota was hugging her.
When everyone was finished with asking her questions and we all got to eat, Kathalee and me went to her room. Kathalee sat on her bed her back against the headboard. I sat in front of her. We sat in silence for a couple of minutes. I hate that I was turned dark on my birthday. I was gonna choose light, but her brother used his stupid powers on me. I heard a different voice in my head and it wasn't mine.
“ You know you wanted to go dark.” The voice said in my head. No, no, no, no I thought shaking my head violently, but the voice never stopped talking.
“ Tessa, Tessa.” Kathalee said shaking me. I stopped shaking my head looking into Kathalee's gold eyes.
My thoughts were going darker as I stayed sitting there. I had to get out of here. I don't want to hurt Kathalee. I got up and ran over to her window flinging it open and flying out of it. I kept flying until I hit a tree and fell to the ground turning back to my human form. I stood up and took off on foot into the forest. I felt myself changing the more I kept running. I bumped into someone and fell again. I looked up to see it was Austin and his stupid dark girlfriend Danielle. I stood up and dusted myself off looking up into his gold eyes.
“ Why aren't you with Kathalee?” He asked his gold, piercing eyes staring deep into my own.
“ I don't want to hurt her and you can't make me.” I was done playing his mind tricks. Anger flashed through his eyes. His golden eyes started to glow and I felt myself turning dark by force instead of on its own.
“ You dare to disobey me!” His eyes glowing brighter and brighter each second.
“ NO!” I yelled as I felt the last piece of light leave me and the darkness consume me. I fell to the ground hating what has happened. I can no longer fight the darkness I am forever dark. Austin and Danielle laughed looking down at me. Before anything else could happen I turned into my pixie form and flew off.
As soon as I reached my house I flew in through the window so my mom wouldn't ask where I have been and why I look like a dark pixie.
I turned back to my human form and ran over to my mirror looking at my eyes to see they turned the color of dark pixies, dark blue. I looked at my appearance to see it had changed too all my clothes were either black or a very dark color. I put my back against the wall and slid down the wall slowly until I was in a sitting position and I brought my knees up to my face and cried. I heard a knock on my door.
