Soulmates

Once I saw the most beautiful thing, you know what it was? An old couple crossing the street, the old man never leaving his wife's side. Then when they made it to the end of the crosswalk, he sweetly kissed her and she blushed. That love is what people need; blushing even in your 70's.

That just shows an example of soulmates being happy, having that spark even when they're old and taking care of each other no matter what. It can be hard work to make someone happy but if you make each other happy there should be no stress, it should be love and passion. Love is often established as hugs and kisses but it's really being comfortable and having somebody's back no matter what. Being soulmates is being with the person you're meant for and all about unconditional love.

The only way to understand what a soulmate is by understanding what love is. Love is caring for someone no matter what and being comfortable and giving your all to this person even after love punches you in the gut. Love can also be painful, but in the end, you will be grateful.

Love is not lust, pity, loneliness, or insecurity. These are all things many people mistake love to be. Just like how love is not just saying "I love you." It's so much more because anyone can say "I love you" and not mean it. Love is not selfish, it's caring about someone and wanting their happiness. Love is so much more because love takes time and gives life another meaning.

Now that you know that love is more than hearts and kisses, you can find love and have something real with someone, instead of doing normal things like holding hands and hugs. You can fart, laugh and have deep conversations 'til one AM. That's what soulmates are, they have this connection and they don't have restrictions.

One thing love has is no limits. Love isn't about your religion, race or gender. Your soulmate isn't limited to one race, gender or religion. If that's how we lived, the world would be bland. It would be as if you went into an ice cream shop and your only option was vanilla ice cream with sprinkles and chocolate syrup, instead of having a variety of choices. This world needs to open up and if more people start thinking of it as this, then maybe they will realize that the world is diverse--and that everyone has a different type of flavor.

Another way to imagine it is by thinking of it in the scenario of "A" in Every Day, where she changes bodies every day. She doesn't have one race or religion or gender. Imagine if your every day was like that. You couldn't be pushed into a box, forced to change. Now let's stop pushing others into a box.
