The next day Lela awoken earlier than usual. A loud noise was coming from down stairs. She rubbed her eyes and listened trying to figure out where the noise was coming from. Then she realized it was someone knocking..no pounding on the door.
Lela huffed loudly then put her black silk robe on and made her way down the stairs. "I'm coming. I'm coming", she yelled. Lela opened the door and there standing in the rain of the misty morning was a woman.
She had long blonde hair and emerald green eyes. She wore a leather jacket and ripped skinny jeans. Her lips were aligned with red lipstick and her cheeks were blushed a soft pink.
Lela stood there puzzled then the woman spoke. "Are you Lela?" the woman asked softly. Lela nodded curiously looking at the blonde. "My name is Katrina...I need to warn you. Lela you are in great danger."
Lela looked at Katrina puzzled then Katrina started again. "Eli. He is dangerous. You need to get away from him as fast as you can. Lela he'll hurt you..." Lela started backing into her house shaking her head confusingly. " No. No! He would never hurt me! Who are you?! How did you find me?"
Katrina opened her mouth and tried calming Lela. Lela was confused and hurt. "I think you should leave", Lela said quickly. She started to shut the door in Katrina's face.
Before she could Katrina yelled, "You'll believe me when it's too late...when you're in your grave." Lela shut the wooden door and watched out the window as Katrina walked to her car. She got in then drove off. Lela sat down in the recliner, hugging her knees as tears fell down her face. As the rain hit the roof and the silence hushed her.
