5 YEARS LATER

It was 5 years ago that the family got reunited after Ezra leaving the crew. Even though the war hadn't ended yet Sabine, Ezra, Zeb and Hera had decided to retire. They found a planet that was warm, had beaches, and had a forest. When they found the planet they wanted, they moved there and built a house. By the time the house got finished, they had already settled in, Ezra and Sabine needed to announce something. She found Hera and Zeb, and called them into the common area of their house.

"So what is it?" Zeb asked, "Yeah, why did you call us here? You know i have to repair the Ghost after it got borrowed." Hera asked impatiently. Sabine then told them "I... I'm pregnant."  Words couldn't describe their reaction after hearing what Sabine said. Zeb and Hera were speechless for a moment. Ezra and Sabine slowly started giggling. The one to break the silence was Chopper who beeped happily. That brought Zeb and Hera out of the stun that the announcement bestowed on them. Hera was the first to talk,  "Sabine, that's great!" Zeb followed Hera's example and congratulated them. "Yeah, congrats, wait, does that mean that i'm going to be an uncle?" Zeb asked, as he realized that. "Yes, yes you are." Hera and Sabine laughed, with Ezra just chuckling next to them.

It took a few minutes for Zeb to process that he was going to be an uncle. When he finally returned to normal, except that he vowed to himself that he was not going to be pranking Sabine anymore, at least until she had given birth. They were all happy at the news and were already preparing themselves.

ANOTHER 5 YEARS LATER

"JANE! Put the chair down, NOW!" Sabine yelled as Jane was lifting chairs again. Jane started sobbing and said "I don't know how...". Ezra, who was already aware of the situation, came in and proudly stated, "Then i will have to teach you. If you can lift chairs at this age, you will be abled to move Star Destroyers by the time i'm done teaching you." Sabine thought about it for a second and knew she would be better off just being proud of her daughter.

They heard a shuttle land outside their house. They didn't have any scheduled arrivals, so Sabine quickly put on her armour and took her blasters, meanwhile Ezra went and got his lightsaber. She told her daughter to go to the bunker. 

Ezra and Sabine went outside to see half of the Resistance command waiting for them. Sabine and Ezra shared confused and worried looks as they knew that the Resistance would not dare to visit them unless something very bad happened. Out of all of them, Leia was the first to talk "Ezra Bridger, Sabine Bridger... we need your help." "What happened? Why is half of the Resistance high command here?" Ezra asked quickly, he needed to know what happened so he could protect his family. All that Leia was abled to say was "The New Republic is gone."
