--Autumn's POV--
Estelle and I are sitting in my room talking about complete nonsense. I don't recall ever rambling about nothing for this long in my life. Estelle finishes her sentence and the chuckles. "What are you laughing about?" I ask. She shakes her head "I don't believe that I have ever talked this much and it being all about complete and utter nonsense." We both begin to have a laugh fest until I hear tapping on my window. "Maybe it's your Prince Charming here to confess his undying love and how you're his entire world." Estelle says while laughing hysterically towards the end. "Whatever Estelle. In your dreams." I reply as I stand up to head towards my window. Sure enough, Pin is at my house throwing pebbles at my window.
I look back over my shoulder and give a somewhat surprised look at Estelle. She begins to stop laughing and looks back at me with a very confused facial expression. "What's gotten into you all of the sudden?" She asks once she calms down. "It's Pin." I reply blandly. Once again, Estelle bursts into a roaring laugh. I swear, she's high on laughing gas. I open my window and i can now begin to see a need for something in his eyes. It almost looks like disappointment or a look of dismay.
"Can you come down here? You know what, never mind. I can hear that you're having a good time. I'd rather not bring you down." Pin states and he begins to turn around and head home.
"Wait!" I exclaim, "Give me a minute." I close my window and begin to leave my room that is now infested with Estelle's laugh.
"Am I asleep and dreaming, or is Autumn actually running to her Prince Charming?!" Estelle exclaims.
"Oh, shut it."I reply as I walk out of my room, leaving Estelle alone with her own thoughts.
As I begin to walk down the hall to venture to the first floor of my house, I remember that my parents are and that they would be suspicious of me walking downstairs alone. I scurry back to my room only to hear Estelle's voice emitting from my room. I open my door only to see her leaning out of my window and talking to Pin. Oh no. I haven't been up here. What has she said to him?!
"Hey! What are you doing?" I ask, as I walk back into my room.
"No worries," Estelle replies, "I haven't said anything terrible." She steps away from the window and I look down to see Pin laughing, most likely at Estelle's comment.
"I'm going to the cafe, you want anything?" I turn around and give Estelle the does-it-look-like-I-want-anything look. She puts her hands in the air as if an officer had just yelled "Put you hands where I can see them". She grabs her bag off the hanger by the door and makes her way downtown.
I turn my attention back to Pin. "Is everything alright, Pin? You seem a little off." He looks down at the ground and shakes his head. He looks back at me with a sad, sorrowful look in his eyes.
"You know that More pony that I've been taking care of?" he asks. I nod my head in response. "My dad got rid of him. He...he sold him." He begins to move from heartbroken to irritated. He worked so hard on fixing up that horse. He risked so much to try and help it, and now I have no idea what he might do.
"I shouldn't have wasted you time on this, Autumn. I'm sorry" Pin states. He begins to mount Elvis to leave. I tell him to say and to climb up the vines that are on the side of the house. I got lucky with my room. I have the most space, my window faces west, so I always get to watch sunsets. Not only that, but whenever I look out, It's just straight trees. There's not a house in sight.
I back away from my window, so Pin can come in. Once he climbs through the window, I realize that his eyes are a little red. I know we both don't like hugs, but I'll risk my discomfort to try and cheer him up. I pull Pin into a hug. He takes no hesitation to hug me back. Pin buries his head into the crook of my neck. I hear him sniffle into my shoulder, trying to keep his cool.
"You don't have to hold it in, Pin. I know how hard you worked with that pony." I tell him. After that, I feel his entire body relax. He comes out of the hug and falls to the floor, crying. I kneel next to him, and spend my time alone, comforting him. I can't imagine how hard this is for him. He put in so much to help this pony, and now it's gone.
--Marcus's POV--
All I've thought about since I've gotten home is Estelle. I know it sounds cheesy, but its true. I don't know what it is with her, but talking to her and hanging out with her just seems right. It's almost as if we were meant to meet. It's like we have some form of fate to have some form of relationship together. She's not like everyone else who's come to Bright Field. She's different.
Every other girl that I have met, has thrown herself at me. Estelle almost pushes herself away from me and from everyone else. She doesn't want everyone to be with her at once. I know why she does it, but it makes her even more perfect. Gosh, I don't think I've ever sounded so cliche in my life. I can't really think of a time where I have ever felt like this. The only time I can think of where I had this same sensation, was when I first met Zoe. It wasn't as strong as how it feels when I'm with Estelle and oh my gosh.
I think I'm in love with Estelle.
--End of Chapter 8--
