Neraida is a world that exists in parallel to Earth. It is home to the four kingdoms of fairies: the Fire, Earth, Water and Air fairies. Now, you might think that these fairies are small, have pixie dust, and zap around on their wings all day. But, no. Fairies look exactly like humans. The only difference is that fairies have the ability to control one of the four elements.
Fire is the element of passion. The Fire fairies have the will and strength to achieve their desires. Earth is the element of substance. The Earth fairies are strong and stable. They are well-grounded and persevering. Water is the element of change. Water fairies are capable of adapting to many things. They are intuitive and emotive. Air is the element of freedom. The air fairies believe in equality and freedom. They tend to resolve conflicts and like keeping peace.
Within Neraida is G.E.M., a union of twelve fairies that are born to one of the twelve gemstones. G.E.M. has kept Neraida in harmony for many centuries. However, 100 years ago, the members of this union have mysteriously disappeared and the new gems still have yet to be found. Ever since the fall of G.E.M., the four kingdoms have been battling for power and land.
