It was a day like any other, nothing to do and no bad guys to fight. I sighed, sitting on a crate while contemplating why Ratchet and Clank had welcomed me into their home. I had been a defect from the start, and after meeting Clank, I felt as if I belonged with them. Me and clank?.. we're the only defects... Ever. But even though I felt like that,I knew us as a trio?.. We had done some good. A lot of it. We thought we had failed in saving Novalis,we kind of did kind of... ehh.. Didn't. I blink my eyes, trying to not think about how many civilians lost their homes, it was too... depressing. I slowly got up, gazing out into the surrounding environment of Veldin, and then walked outside. I sighed once again, but then tripped over something, something that I may or may not have seen before even getting outside the door. 'Who the hell..?-' I only looked up to see a tiny robot across from where I fell, Clank. Knew it. Anddd! Didn't know.
"O-Oh! S-Sorry Clank! I..I uh...didn't see ya there! Very sorry!" I said this, nervously scratching the back of my neck and then looking at him, he looked at me, then spoke.
"It is quite alright (Y/N)! I.. I guess I wasn't watching where I was going when I got up to get to the fridge... Are - Are you alright??" He asked,this in a calming manner and made me feel much more confident but a little more...nervous. Truth was I liked the little robot and he had been my 'Best best' friend ever since. We even shared qualities... but I felt he didn't feel the same, we were friends and I felt he had feelings for me that way, in a friend type of way.
"I-I...I'm...uh..." I got caught in his gaze,and just slowly just felt myself sighing and blinking dreamly,RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM!!
"Fine..." I silently whispered,he nodded but caught my gaze,another time to pop another question,and the one I answered wasn't the truest answer I could give him.
"A-Are you sure your alright (Y/N)?..Your staring at me and sighing heavily...something the matter..??" I was caught looking again and again,like I couldn't keep my gaze off of him for one second,like he was gonna do something bad.
"Your face is red (Y/N)..I can see it." He said,looking at me and my tomato red face,never noticed it until now,but his Green,adorable,eyes seemed to glow brighter.I looked down at him,blushing to death it seemed,my cheeks grew red while they heated up.
"You like me don't you? (Y/N)?" He knew it.jig was up.He knew I liked him,I looked at him,then I stared at the ground before muttering something under my breath,cursing along with it.
"What was that (Y/N)? A-Are you alright?..why so-" I cut him off,didn't need to tell him,this was enough,I kissed his metallic lips and slowly closed my eyes.This felt amazing,make me feel better about everything we had lost during the adventures,slowly too,Clank closed his eyes and kissed back.I smiled into it and then broke it,concealing him in a hug and crying,tears slipping from my eyes before...I didn't even realize it.
"(Y)-(Y/N)? Are you...alright? your...crying...I thought...whats wrong?? You know I love you back,I always had." He looked at me with sympathy,those adorable eyes looking at me.I only smiled while the tears continued to slip down my face.
I only quietly said this to him.
"I...We...failed so many times to save others...But with you...you made me feel better about myself,so much...and I love you so....so...please know this Clank...your my best friend...and the only person I will.." I whispered,I slowly closed my eyes in happiness,then opened them.Clank made me look at him,then after,just..we drifted off to sleep,everything that happened made us tired,too much crying can..do that.but still..I was finally happy...finally..
But as I drifted off,I saw Ratchet by the door,the Lombax slowly making his way over,then he put a blanket over us,smiling and crying.then he walked away.But God only knows,what will happen.Time will too...
And I would always be by my friends side,loving him always with the feelings I always had.I sung as I drifted off,and everything was ok.I was ok.We were ok.
And everything was right.
