Chapter 9 The Confession

“Sam! Stop there.” I say in my alpha voice. He tenses as I walk closer to him. “Ryan, I know who has been spilling information. Meet me at the woods right before the pack house come into view. “I said through our mind link. “Yes Luna.” Sam says as he turns around to face me. “You betray us, your pack and your best friend. How do you feel?” I spoke slowly. “I had to or my family would be dead.” Sam answers as Ryan walk towards us. “I can’t believe you Sam.” Ryan says while shaking his head. “How did you found out?” Sam asks. “He has his ways.” I reply. “Please Luna and alpha; understand do you know how it feels to lose someone you love?” Sam says. “Yes, even the ones I love dear, but there is one thing you can do.” I say as I speak slowly. “What is the one thing?” Sam asks. “You need to get over it.” I answer. “What are you going to do to me? I am the third commander. You can’t take that away from me, unless you are a witch. ” Sam says. “You should know that I am not a normal werewolf. I figure that you would notice but instead you never realize it. Have you ever realized why in school I hit the target dead center?” I say as I look at him. “Yeah I wonder but I just figure that you are good at them since you alpha ." Sam says. I chuckle as I narrow my eyes and say “I am a witch. Don’t under estimate me.” Sam runs at me and tackles. He’s pretty quick and I didn’t realize he has a knife before it’s too late. He slides the knife down my right and left side. I scream out of pain. A few seconds later Ryan tackles Sam and knocks him out. I try to heal myself but the cut is too deep. I felt my head getting dizzier and dizzier by the second. Ryan runs to me and picks me up. I bring one of my shaky hands up to his cheek. I bring his lips down to mine and kiss him. Ryan kisses me back and smiles at me. “I love you, Ryan.” I say. I saw two of the best pack fighter come and take Sam. I’m guessing they are putting Sam in the dungeon. As soon I saw that a few minutes later darkness took over me.

Ryan’s point of view

“I love you, Ryan.” Em had say before she passed out. That only made me push harder. I got to the pack doctor and told them. They told me to wait outside the door. I’m walking back and forth. Zack comes up the stairs. “I’ve heard of what happen. Is Em okay?” Zack asks.  “I don’t know.” I say as the doctor comes out. “I’m sorry, Ryan. She didn’t make it.” The doctor says. I felt my heart sink. No, she can’t be dead. I think to myself. “She has to make it.” I say as I walk in. I see Em’s lifeless pale body lying on the bed. “C-can I be alone for a few minutes?” I say. Zack and the doctor nod as they left the room. I place my hand in hers. Her hand is cold; her whole body is starting getting cold. I break down in sobs. My mate, my other half, the one person who makes me complete is dead. I should have protected her more, been there for her. This is all my fault. It should have been me, not her. The pain increase as I stay with her. The pain really didn’t bother me. I felt numb on the inside and outside. I don’t know how long I stay their but I’m being shaking up. “Honey, come on. You need breakfast.” My mother says. “N-no. I’m not leaving her.” I say. “Please, your mate will probably want you to eat. She probably wants you to take care of your pack and her pack. Ryan, don’t give up on you-self. Do this for Em. Make Em proud.” My mom says. “I-I don’t know what to do. Mom, she died and I could have saved her but I didn’t. I failed her. She’s done so much for me and I repay her by getting her killed.” I say. “Ryan, please eat. Em wouldn’t want this, please. Your packs members are starting to get worry, even the counsel are too.” My mom says. “I just don’t know what to do.” I whisper as I look over at Em. “Pull yourself together and lead her and yours pack. Em would want you to.” My mother says as she walks out. I sigh as I run my hand through my hair. I look at Em and run a hand through her hair before saying “I love you Em. Forever and always.” I kiss her forehead and walk out; ready to face the rest of the world.
