Your voice like a sweet honey drip to my veins,
Intoxicating and calming; one in the same.
Giving life to the lifeless,
What an angel you must be.
Turning wine into water,
Let your eyes pull me out to sea.
Floating on your kiss,
A spark is to blame.
I felt the sting on my lips,
Now there's a tiny blue flame.
The way you read my mind has me caught up in you.
Staring out at the stars,
We are under the same moon.
I must've known you one day in a lifetime before.
The one where you paused silently and opened the door.
You saw me walking forward and you couldn't believe your eyes.
"I see you" I said.
To you, it was a surprise.
You may not think anyone sees behind your mask.
Maybe a problem stemming from your past,
But I'm here to tell you that you don't have to hide.
I accept you as you are,
For the rest of our lives.
