The beginning of the end

A/n sorry for the short chapter

He was all I had after the incident 10 years ago.

It was a hot and humid day and all I could think about was the path ahead, me and guy's families had been travelling for weeks now trying to get to tomorrow as the end drew closer as it had been for years Guy and I were hanging around at the back laughing at what we called jokes when the ground shook and gave way beneath our family's feet . Guy and I look down to see mine and his family sinking into a pit of tar below. We ran over and tried to pull them out but all we did was make them sink faster into the goo. When only their heads were visible we started to cry in despair.

"Mum, Dad please I can't let you die!" I cried

"Y/n, Guy we love you both so very much" my mother said

"No you going to be fine!" Guy yelled

 "Don't hide. Live. Follow the sun; you'll make it to Tomorrow we promise" and that was the last thing they said to us before disappearing below the sticky depths. We cried for what'd felt like hours and probably was till we had no more left to cry when I broke to silence.

"What do we do now?" I said through my sobs

"We go to tomorrow just like they said we won't let them die in vain." He replied

"Okay" I whispered as he lifted me onto my feet comforting me with a hug, leaving nothing but a carving on our families on the wall beside the gooey grave, we began the walk the changed our lives forever.

10 years later

it had been ten years since then and we are still on our journey to tomorrow, we were now 19 years old and used our 'brains' to survive such as shoes to protect our feet and umbrellas to keep us dry during the rain but my favourite was Belt and Sash, they were both sloths and were there to keep our pants up I wear them too because I found pants (you basically wear what guy wears but with a white singlet) to be way better to move around in than a skirt. We had both grown taller and more mature in more ways than one but we were still like 'two peas in a pod' as we usually say but little did we know we were about to have some rather loud company joining us on the way.
