~Author's POV~
It's been five and a half years since Sasuke left the village in search of his brother for Naruto and their future children. On the first two years, a few days after he left, Sasuke tricked Orochimaru into thinking that he wanted power and to destroy Konohagakure for all the wrongs they've done. He trained day and night until he was able to face his older brother, Itachi. He betrayed Orochimaru and created a new team, with some of Orochimaru's students/experiments, called team Taka. Jūgo, Karin, and Suigetsu Hōzuki joined his new team.
After a year, while they were on a mission, Pein found them. He took an interest in Sasuke and invited him to join the Akatsuki. He thought about it for a few days before he made up his mind. But the second he entered the Akatsuki, he was beyond shocked.
The one person he has been searching for was here, Itachi Uchiha. No one knew of his whereabouts because he was never heard of again after the Uchiha Massacre.
But he wasn't the only one shocked, Itachi and his comrades were flabbergasted to know that his little brother was there. But no the shock didn't stop there, Sasuke wasn't even mad.
During that year he managed to confront Itachi about their parents. He told him that he forgave him for killing their father and knows that it wasn't him that killed their mother. They both told each other of how their life was after the massacre. Sasuke even told him about Naruto.(BTW the Akatsuki aren't after the jinchūrikis)
They had a great time spending time together, but soon it was all going to come to an end.
