Henry:

"HENRY!!! GET YOUR LAZY ASS OUT OF BED!!! YOU'RE GONNA BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!!!" My mothers voice projected half way across the world. Another day of school. Another day of John, my bully, my enemy, my moral destructor.

I slide off my bed with slow movements, moving one muscle at a time. My eyes blur as I try to regain focus of my surroundings, but an impact of pressure to my brain tips my body back over my bed. A small grunt escapes my mouth. I stood up too fast. My hand presses the headboard and I propel my upper body forward and grab my dresser for extra balance. My bedroom is finally clear as I can finally see two feet in front of me. The soft brown carpeting tickles my bare feet as I quickly shuffle my feet down the hallway towards my bathroom. The room is dark. I like the dark.

I spend about five minutes in the shower after I relieved myself at the toilet. The shower in my parents bathroom was obviously occupied because the warm water depleted quicker than normal. Both showers run the same tank of water. The shampoo that I apply to my scalp smells of lavender and citrus as it fills the bathroom with its aurora. Steam clouds the room as I remove the curtain of my shower and step my dripping, roman toed feet onto the tiled floor.

Only my jet black hair can be distinguished through the fog on my mirror. My arm travels across the glass and it reveals my bright green/blue eyes. My eyes are averted from my reflection and find my toothpaste. It's almost gone. My hand inches towards the paste with a shake. My fingers grasp the tube as I twist the cap off shakily. Finally I squeezed the red striped paste onto the small brush. I take my time through these steps because I know the faster I get ready, the sooner I get to school. My hands still shake as I insert the brush of tooth paste into my mouth and begin to smother my teeth.

My hands always shake.

I don't know why they shake, but they have shaken since I was a child. Flavors of mint and raspberry engulf my taste buds. I'm glad I'm almost out of toothpaste. I hate the artificial raspberry flavor. As I finish my brushing, my gag reflex thrusts my body forward. The paste spews from my mouth as I run the faucet.

I look up. my green eyes are like nothing seen before. Streaks of blue travel from my pupil splitting the green. I have only ever seen one other with this hybrid but, his was the opposite. His eyes were blue with green streaks cutting the original color. His name is Colton Jackson and he's my enemies right hand man. I can't help but feel bad for the guy, he only hangs with John so he wont be bullied by him. I respect the guy personally though, his morals are good and his attitude is acceptable. we've talked once or twice, but John wont let me be friends with anyone. One day I'll crack, thats a fact. One day John will rue the day he decided I'm prey.

Choosing clothes doesn't take long. My pick of apperal includes a red button up with a white under shirt, light blue jeans and a pair of blue tennis shoes that match the color of my jeans. My taste in clothing may appear "nerdy" to some or, most. This includes John. I wouldn't expect an uneducated jock like him to understand that different individuals have different opinions. I'll save my ranting for a different time but for now, it is time for school. It's time for me to make a stand. It's time for me to kick some ass.

My trip down the carpeted hallway was more enlightened than it has ever been. I am actually going to make a stand. It feels good.

"Where the hell have you been?" violently asks my mother.

"I've been getting ready... just like every morning" I assure my mother.

"Don't you back talk me you peice of shit. You dont get breakfast now. Just get your ass in the car you stupid mistake."

My mother is right, I was a mistake. She was a porn star before I was born, then one day "oops" she's pregnant with me. I'm blamed by her for the incident . I don't know who my dad is, well, neither does she but, she refuses to take me to the hospital to find out because she'd be taken away to prison. Yes... my mom is also a certified drug dealer and abuser. She signs everything under a fake name and only leaves the house to take me to school. I dont love my mom. She tried to kill me once. I won't go into that.

The car ride was short. The school is only three blocks from my home making it a very quick car rise. I won't walk to school. John walks to school. He lives on the street next to mine which means we have the same route. One time I walked to school... biggest mistake in my life. John grabbed me, threw me to the ground and stomped me until I bruised and bled. That wont happen again.
