It was time for the killing to begin to show are gods we will still die for them even though we really can't. I come from a society that has conquered death and has no known illness within it we do not get sick and we do not die it is all because of the nanites put into us when we are "born" if that's what you want to call it. We were all made to do certain tasks to help our community. We have the farmers,sales people, judges, and political leaders then we have the ones who settle the population issues they are known as reapers they are the only ones who can kill and make it so the person stays dead, the only reason they do not get into trouble is because they are above the law in all ways and they train day and night to learn their craft.
