If you knew me personally, you'd know that I absolutely hate surprises. Especially bad ones.
And let me tell you, waking up to Edwin whispering "wake up baby girl" into my ear was definitely a surprise that I didn't want.
"Get the fuck away from me" I mumble in my husky morning voice, "what's the time"
"8:40am, everyone is here just so you know"
I jump up immediately, "Why on Earth is everyone here at 8:40am. Am, Edwin. The morning!"
"For y-your partner to be chos-sen" he stuttered
I laugh at his embarrassing stutter, but I feel slightly bad, "Of course they are, did I.. scare you or something?"
"You're okay, yeah?" He asks, completely avoiding the question.
"Always am" I reply bluntly, before rolling out of bed and grabbing the hairbrush on my way out.
I walk down his expensive staircase and I see that they're all seated on the couch. I sit next to Riley and Laura, who both have terrible under eye bags.
"Oh my god" I laugh in Riley's ear, "you look like shi-"
"The neighbours dog, Abigail. I'm going to kill it!"
I laugh, and then my favourite human being decides to bless us all by opening his beautiful mouth.
"What a fine morning it is today" Simon says sarcastically.
"What did I do so wrong that you had to wake me up? And why wasn't I woken up before like everyone else?"
He rolls his eyes, "How do you know it has to do with you? It could be about Riley or Venus"
I laugh under my breath, "I wouldn't be here if it wasn't. That was a stupid question anyway, after last nights events I can assume what this is about. Can we hurry this up already? I'm hungry"
After a long pause Simon sighs and everyone begins to list the pros and cons of me and someone from the band dating. I don't know why they get to decide when it's me and one other person who have to deal with it.
"Okay geniuses, one question" they all look at me expectantly, so I continue, "Who'll be the lucky bachelor"
Simon looks around, "Well, who are you closest to?"
"Nobody, I don't like them" I say blatantly, "nor do I know them"
"Thanks for that one" Zion scoffs, I look at him and grin widely, my smile traced with sarcasm.
He returns the smile, and in that moment, I decide I like his sense of humour. If you're able to understand that my insults are mostly jokes, then we're off to a good start.
"Well you're clearly the most comfortable with Edwin" Simon says, "since you two slept together last night"
Simon says.
"I fucking hate when you assume how I feel" I mumble quietly, knowing nobody would've heard me.
"If it helps that band I suppose" Edwin replies, I look to him with wide eyes.
