Hey guys! So I felt like my chapters were too short and I didn't like the way I started the book so I decided the best thing to do is just to restart because I really love the idea I have going around in my head so here goes take two!

P.S. the first section is mainly her thought process and getting to know Addie Which means not a lot of dialogue...but don't worry there will be some added in.

Addalyn's POV

Beep, Beep, Beep

Ugh, if there is one thing in this world I hate it's waking up early.

I silently reached over to turn off my alarm clock and slowly rolled over thinking I was safe...I wasn't... as I rolled too far off my bed landing with an oomph.

I walked over to my calendar to mark of the day in a red marker, realizing that tomorrow is a big day, it's my birthday.

Don't get me wrong I absolutely love my birthday 100%, but there was something about tomorrow that made my stomach churn and I didn't know why.

My birthday will be spent the same way it has been for the last 13 years.

My mom and dad will walk in singing happy birthday with a breakfast pizza and candles as my little sister runs in jumping on my bed...well that has been more of a new addition to the tradition considering she is only 5.

Later we will have my sweet 16 that my mom has been planning since I turned 15.

If I lost you about me being 16 and my tradition only going for 13 years well that's because I am adopted.

I was adopted at age two.

I love that I was adopted I was chosen by a couple who thought that they couldn't have kids, that's until a little surprise happened and Izzy was born.

Although I do wish I could know a little bit about my birth family. Like what nationality I am, how I came to be, was I an accident or planned?

What really bugs me is that in school we are starting a project about ourselves for english and those are the questions I have to answer and those are the ones I don't know the answers too.

I was adopted at age two which means that I wasn't given up at birth so I was wanted, but that my parents had to be pretty messed up to get me taken away.

Although, I am happy to say I did get lucky in the family I am in now. It's just sad that I don't remember anything from my past, maybe that's a good thing.

My mom is a pediatrician and my dad is a lawyer. They both have a passion for helping people in their own ways which is awesome.

I quickly got dressed in light blue skinny jeans and a white flowy tank top which paired nicely with a long necklace and white studded sandals.

I stepped out of my room and quickly followed the sent of bacon...my favorite!

As I entered the kitchen I went to grab a piece of bacon sitting on the table when my hand was slapped away immediately.

"Shoo, don't touch the bacon without washing your hands and use a fork to grab your piece" My mother practically yelled. Always the germaphobe maybe that's why she became a pediatrician so she can try to get rid of as many germs as possible.

"Fine," I said with an eye roll.

After washing my hands I went back to the table giving my dad a quick kiss on the cheek before sitting down.
