"Oh, you guys are gonna love it here. I remember being here when I was your age. My grandpa was so cool. He loved to write books about this fantasy world called Riess." Kylie's mom told her and her brother Adam.

"It seems all you talk about is your grandpa," Kylie said annoyed. Ever since her dad died she changed. She went from an outgoing friendly girl to a snotty almost emo girl.

"Oh, hush. It's gonna be fun. Let's listen to some tunes!" Her mom was so excited. She flipped on the radio and started dancing in her seat.

Kylie didn't say anything just sighed. She didn't want to move. She didn't want any more change in her life. On the other hand, her brother Adam was so ready to move. He hated his school. He hated the teachers. He hated everything about where they used to live so he accepted this move with open arms.

"Hey Kylie," He whispered.

She just looked at him with death eyes.

"Kylieeee." He nagged her.

"Kylieeeeeeeee." He kept saying.

"Kylie." He said quickly.

"Kylie." He said it again.

"What!" She shouted.

"Kylie don't shout at your brother!" Her mother scolded her.

"He's annoying me." She told her

"Yeah, that's what boys do. Get over it." She told her.

Kylie was furious. She wanted to hit her brother.

"We're here!" Her mother shouted with excitement.

The house was big. Really big. It was two stories and looked old. Probably because it was. Even though Kylie didn't want to move she couldn't help but be amazed.

"Wow, this place is awesome." Her little brother said.

"Let me just get the key..." Her mother mumbled pulling the key out of her purse.

When her mother opened the door it revealed a massive opening room with two staircases one leading up and the other leading down to the basement.

"Come to me." Kylie heard a voice echo in her head. She looked around and it seemed like no one else heard it.

"Ok, our rooms are upstairs. Come on I'll show you." Her mom gestured to the stairs. The stairs was a dark, old, creaky wood with a red carpet covering them. At the top of the stairs, there was a painting of a medieval knight holding a sword.

"What's that?" Adam asked his mother pointing at the painting.

"Oh that, its uh an old painting he made to go along with his novels." His mother explained.

At the top of the stairs, you could go left or right. Left would take you to the kitchen and dining room and right would lead you the bedrooms.

"Ok over here, this is your room, Kylie," Her mom opened the door to her massive room. It was the size of the living room in their old apartment. It already had a bed and T.V, all she needed. She stepped inside and slammed the door behind her to keep her family out. She settled down. She put her bags down and started unloading everything.

"Come to meeee," The same voice rang in her head but much louder. She ignored it and kept unpacking. Her room was big and open she had to make several trips out to the moving truck to get all her stuff. By the end of the day, it was all packed and ready to go.

"Kylie, dinner's ready!" Her mom shouted from the kitchen.

Kylie made her way to the kitchen where chicken soft tacos were waiting for her. She loved chicken soft tacos, they were her favorite food.
