What is your username?
A. My first and middle names: AlicynMonique.
When did you join Wattpad? And for how long have you been writing (in general)?
A. End of February, 2012, right before the inkpocalypse. I joined here--and temporarily Figment--right before the fall. I've been writing for about twelve years now. I started writing fan fiction and eventually moved to original fiction. I don't regret the move.
What can you tell us about the current story you’re working on? Tell us a little about the plot and the characters in it?
A. Well, currently I have two WIP and about three others that are on a temporary hiatus.... until I decide I've had enough working in high fantasy and wish to go back to paranormal... Currently, I'm working on my rewrite of THE GUARDIAN HEIR. Every time I discuss the plot it get's garbled and I do a bad job explaining it but I'll give it a shot. Reader's digest: dragons vs. undead. But that is it in its simplest forms... The world of Turr is controlled by dragons who, in their greed, have become corrupt. Enter Aurora, the latest in the Alkiri line of High Dragons, and a prophecy meant to usher in a new era.
Why do you think the readers should read your story (mention the factors which will be appealing to the readers)?
A. Well, for starters, everyone loves dragons... Hahaha. Just kidding (not really). Aside from the fantasy aspect (dragons, magic, undead protectors...) there are a lot of side stories that I'm really looking forward to developing--especially the undead protectors known as 'Guardians.'
Which is your favorite character, in the current story you are working on?
A. Is it bad to say I /don't/ have a favourite character? Don't get me wrong, I have characters I like but none I can label as my favourite. The others might get jealous if I start saying someone is my favourite...
How many stories have you posted on Wattpad (excluding short stories)?
A. Five. Excluding my short story compilation: BLACK CAT CURSE, BLOOD MOON, CERULEAN (working title), GUARDIAN HEIR and PROMISE.
Can you tell us about your other stories, any two other stories that you are working on?
A. Well, there's CERULEAN (working title) and BLACK CAT CURSE. CERULEAN: Set about 500 years /after/ tGH, humans have taken over the realm and the Guardians (undead protectors) have come back. There's unrest going on in both the Empire and the Imperial court. A revolution is about to happen... in more ways than one. BCC: It's about four witches--Willa, Umber, Sarah and Celeste--and their adventures into the dark arts. Though they learn that the deeper they get into the dark arts, the harder it is to leave...
Do you offer critiques to other users? If you have offered a critique, mention that story?
A. Yes though I'd like to mention that, if you ask me, expect some constructive criticism. Meaning: learn to take comments that aren't nonsensical praise and explain what is wrong. I haven't necessarily offered a critique to anyone specifically... other than payment for covers. (One for a now deleted story by@alpacapaca and the other for CINRETTA by @taylorink)
Do you write for yourself or for the readers?
A. I post online so others can read it but it's mostly for myself. I do not take opinions from strangers--everything is all planned out--nor do I have a set schedule when I update--which I've noticed tends to anger a few of my followers...
Describe yourself in ten words.
A. I can sum it down to two words: weird daydreamer.
