"KODA!!" was all Fina could say. She ran to her burning home with panic and fear in her eyes. She ran into the burning house searching for her baby brother, the only friend she had. "KODA! KODA! WHERE ARE YOU?!" She screamed with all her might hoping for even the slightest sound. "HELP!" A tiny voice screamed through the halls. Fina ran as fast as her little legs could go. She ran straight to her brother's room where he was trapped under some fallen debris. Being as small as she was she couldn't. Fear filled her mind. She was about to lose her baby brother. Her best friend. In a fit a fury she activates what little power she has. Her power stronger than anyone else's she created a blast and made everyone and everything within a 10 block radius into nothing but a large crater. The only one that survived the blast was her brother. Her brother, her neighbors, the demons all destroyed in the blast. Out of anger, the villagers threw them out. The children were exiled never to return. After that, they just kept walking. Walking to a place known to be a utopia. Scared of who they were they hid from the world.
Dazed I sat up curious about where I was. "Koda, what time is it?" I ask before opening my eyes. I opened my eyes to see I was still in that boy's house. He was looking at me confused. "Who's Koda?" I was about to answer when I felt movement on the couch with me. I looked over to see... Koda? I looked up at the boy watching tv in front of me. Pointing at my brother I said, "When and how did he get here?" The boy looked at me and quickly replied. "Oh, Max. He broke in yesterday night looking for you. He's been here talking with me and watching over you." I guess my brother decided to use Max as his fake name. "So..when were you gonna tell me you were elvish?" He said with a smirk. How the hell does he know that? I looked at Koda again and realized that he wasn't wearing his hood! What in the hell is he thinking?! The boy, I believe his name was Jullien, looked at me and began talking again. "Max told me everything and starting when he wakes up I'll be working with you and you both will be living here with me. If you have any questions ask your brother when he wakes up. Oh, Sam, your room is down the hall to the right." I just looked at him blankly before standing up and walking to my new room.
I opened the door slowly, cautious of what may be on the other side. Inside was a room with garish colors (Shown below). Way out of my style. The bed was a bright pink. The wall decorations were cute and hella girly. "He expects me to sleep in here??" I say to myself as I further explore the room. I don't think I can stay in this room. It's just not me. If I'm to stay in this room there is gonna need to be some major changes.
I closed the door behind me and walked back to the living room. I walked to the boy who still remained in the armchair. He was reading something. I stood in front of him with an un-amused look on my face. He looked up at me with a peculiar look on his face, "Need something?" all I could think to say was... "The room." His expression changed again. It was more confused this time. "What about it? Don't like it?" I immediately replied, "No." He sighed before closing his book and standing up. "What's wrong with it?" "Too girly!" You can see the utter confusion on his face, he was clueless. He walked towards the room. He opened the door and stepped inside. "I thought girls like stuff like this. "Normal girls yes but remember I grew up in ruins. Black is my best friend." He had a strange expression on his face, "I got it!" He smiled at me then held his hand out. A light began to appear and move around the room. Everything the light touched began to change. I stood there shocked. "What the hell! You're a mage?!" He just turned and grinned. The light was really pretty.
