Chapter 1: Leo Shane

Eli's POV

I felt like this for Trixie ever since I saw her. It been a year since we defeated Blakk and I still don't know what are these feelings. I was frustated that I didn't know what these feelings were. I went downstairs. Only Ashley was home. She appeared to be looking for something.

"Hey Ash, whatcha looking for?" I asked. She responded,

"My braclet. The one that my boyfriend gave me."I groaned. Why did everyone have a special someone except me? Even Ashley, who was 11, had a boyfriend! She found her braclet and put it her room and gave me a piece of paper.

"It's from your dad." I read the note. It said,

Dear Eli,

I have one last thing to tell you. You need friends to assist you in your journey to Slugterra's hero. But if you have feelings for a certain girl, good luck, son.

Just then, Trixie came home in tears. I was surprised. I asked her,

"Trix! You ok?!"She didn't respond. She just ran into her room. I went after her. I knocked on the door and asked,

"You ok Trixie?" She told me,

"I don't feel like talking now." I told Trixie,

"You can tell me. Come on, just tell me what's wrong. I'm just concerned about you." She allowed me to come in. She was sobbing on her bed. I closed the door and asked,

"You wanna talk about it?" She sat up. I went beside her. She calmed down a bit and told me,

"My boyfriend broke up with me." I was shocked. Who would break up with someone as sweet and beautiful as Trixie? Wait, did I just think that out loud?! DAMMIT! I told her,

"I'm sorry for you, Trix. I knew how much you loved him." She replied,

"Thx Eli. You're such a nice friend."The word "friend" bothered me a little. Then she hugged me. I felt my heart beat faster. I blushed. My heart was beating faster than the time when I was in the Slug Run. I hugged her back. I didn't want to push her away. We both let go.

"Trix, if he's like that, he's never gonna be worth your time." I told her. She thanked me. I went out of her room. Ashley smirked at me. I asked,

"What?" She responded,

"Someone's got a crush." I told her,

"You're looking at Eli Shane. Eli Shane and love do not mix." She replied,

"I can sense these things, Eli. And it's obvious. You even looked at Trix with dreamy eyes!" I denied it and went to my room. Maybe I did like Trix. But I can't possibly fall in love, can I? I needed to talk to someone. So I texted my younger brother back at the Surface.

Hey lil bro. Happy bday.
