I stroke my hand against Goldielocks's golden coat. He turns around and gives my hand a big, slobbery lick. I chuckle to myself and scratch him behind his ear. His favorite spot.

The sun sets a soft glare through tthrough the living room window. The drapes gently sway in the gentle spring breeze. The trees make a lacey pattern on the ground.

I tuck a brunette lock behind my ear. Goldielocks spins around a few times then settles next to me on the white leather sofa.

I hear heavy footsteps racing down the steps. I turn my head and see a blonde person running down the stairs.

"You could've just sashayed down the stairs instead of stomping down them, Taylor." I say as she plops on the sofa next to me.

"I'm saving my sashaying for Jameson."

"What else are you saving for him? No clothes day?"

Taylor blushes then nudges me in my side. We share a chuckle. I grab the TV remote off the coffee table and toss it to Taylor.

"Its all yours" I offer.

I grab my phone from my lap to check the time. 4:09 PM.

I stretch my arms towards the ceiling as I soak in the scent of mild spring flowers and prickly green grass. I release that pose while looking at out the living room window. The yellow drapes still swaying in the breeze like Goldielocks's golden fur.

Taylor presses a few buttons and scrolls through a few channels. We smirk to each other while we go to the P section.

"Pretty Little Liars!" We chirp as Taylor presses the green OK button.

We lipsync to the introduction clip.

"Got a secret. Can you keep it? Swear this one you'll save. Better lock it in your pocket. Taking this one to the grave. If I show you that I know you won't tell what I said? 'Cause two can't keep a secret if one of them is dead."

______Later_______

Goldielocks is sprinting down the sidewalk. His paws bouncing with each step.

I struggle keeping my hair out of my face. I flick my hair behind my shoulder, I brush my hair behind my head, I use my forearm as a headband, but nothing is working.

Note to self, bring a hairtie next time

I shift my pace and tell Goldielocks to sit. Of course, he obediently sits on command. I ruffle his golden locks, calling him a good boy.

We then walk at an average pace. Since its pretty warm, I decide we could stop by a water ice shop to get a quick snack.

________

"That will be $6.99." The kind lady behind the counter informed. I dug into my pocket for the money. I came up with six dollars, three quarters, and a dime.

Shoot! I'm 14 cents short... I think to myself.

Since Goldielocks has been such a good boy, I ditch my water ice and just buy the doggy bone.

I sit on the bench near the shop and give Goldielocks his bone. He chews away contentedly at it.

I sigh and ruffle his fur again.

A short, slim lady in a flannel and white leggings walks up to me. I look up and notice she is carrying a Peach and Mango Icy Blast. My favorite water ice.

"Is this seat taken?" She asks sweetly.
