I'm not really sure what I'm going to do with this, and this entire thing is just me proving I'm going to be alone forever, but you know, enjoy

It had been 10 days. Ten days since he was supposed to arrive back from the war. She hasn't heard from him since he said goodbye, and was longing to be in his arms. She was gazing out of the window mindlessly, feeling sorry for herself, until she spotted a black and blonde dot approaching. It was him, thundering back on his horse, Eclipse. She races out of the room and down the halls of the manor, causing servants to press themselves against the walls, and launches herself down the stairs. The others chase after in hot pursuit. Finally she sees him in the main foyer, handing Eclipse to the stable boy. She gasps and skids to a halt in front of him. He has wounds up and down his arms and chest. She touches the cut on his arm tenderly.

"Are you ok?" she asks, her voice filled with concern.

"Yeah, it looks worse than it is."

"Good," she says and slaps him across the face. Before he has the chance to retaliate, she's kissing him, and he melts. When they finally stopped, she resting her head on his chest, he murmurs "Why?"

"Huh?"

She said leaning back to see him rubbing his cheek.

"Oh," she said, "Don't worry, it's just that I thought that you were DEAD!"

"What?" he says, stepping back and looking at her as though she was crazy.

"What do you mean, what? You've been gone for ten more days then you were supposed to be!" she cries, beginning to tear up. "As far as I knew, you were laying dead in a trench somewhere!"

She turned away, wiping at the tears streaming down her face, while he stood there, stunned.

"Listen to me," he says spinning her around and enveloping her in a hug "I love you, and I will always come back."
