I decided to write a one shot while I worked on Ice Cold. It's quick, cliche, and sweet. Hopefully that's a good thing!! Enjoy!

Tom

I stepped into the coffee shop, welcomed by the cool air and warm smells of breakfast.

"One bagel and one tea please." I ordered, pulling out my wallet. The young woman had her head down, punching numbers into the machine. Her jet black hair was pulled into a bun, curly strands lay loose near her face.

"Is that all?" Her sweet voice asked me, head still down.

"Yes ma'am, that'll be all." I handed her my credit card. She reaches for it, looking up for the first time. Her eyes go wide and she chuckles to herself.

"You're a lot taller in person." She cranes her neck to see my face.

"Ehehehe, yes. I get that a lot." Her hand swipes the plastic in the machine and hands it back to me, cheeks red. "Thank you, Miss...?"

"Carly. My name is Carly." Carly sticks her hand over the counter and I grab it, shaking it. Her hands are soft, yet her shake is firm. I have not seen a woman so delicate, so beautiful, before. It's my turn to blush.

"Tom. Obviously." She laughs.

"Yes, I have heard of you, Loki." Referring to my character. She turns, and brews a hot tea, pours it into a paper cup, and closes it off with a lid. I go to put my wallet away, and when I look back, she had my bagel in a little paper bag.

"Thank you Miss Carly." I grab my breakfast.

"My pleasure Mr. Hiddleston." She nods and I turn to leave the little shop.

I turn on my car, activating the heat, and sit while I eat my food. Going to drink my tea, I notice black writing towards the bottom of the cup. Intrigued, I read it. A phone number. I run my fingers through my hair and laugh at the cliché-ness of how Carly and I, flirted? I'd like to believe so.

I go to work, filming on the set of Thor: The Dark World. It takes the whole day, but it's all worth the while, as the finished project will be great. And a hard day's work makes coming home, well the hotel room, even more special.

Sitting in my car to go home, I notice the coffee cup with the barista's phone number on it. You're crazy. I tell myself as I reach for the cup and my phone at the same time. Ignoring the little voice in my head, I dial her numbers into my phone and listen. It rings once. Twice. Three times. My hands are trembling. I'm about to hang up when I hear her voice on the other side of the line.

"Hello?" I picture her lips moving, forming the words.

"Carly? It's Tom." I'm nervous. "Quick question, do you believe in love at first sight?"
