-Prophecy-

Stepping into the Home Stone was like walking into a thick layer of soft jelly. It looked easy when Saoirse and the others walked through, but you really have to push through it. Samtron carried Connie on his shoulder, but he didn't enjoy it. Sam wouldn't do it, he'd rather carry the bags than to carry a girl. Even at the age of 100 plus, they are still boys, and boys will never change.

Seth disposed of the bodies, to where, that I do not know. Saoirse scolded Suzanna and Sam, asking them questions on where they went. Suzanna said they felt a presence, like someone was watching them, then they got knocked out. When Samtron found them, they were still out on the ground where they kept watch.

I still didn't know who knocked them out, but Sam claims that he saw a black figure, which was odd to me. Saoirse frowned as well. No one else knew about their arrival. But she insisted that we shouldn't waste much time, and that we ought to return to Kells immediately. And that was what we did.

When I stepped out of the Home Stone, I was greeted by the cool breeze of evening. Birds were flying back to their nests, casting shadows upon the orange sky, with a mix of blue and clouds. Rays of sunlight came down, making the scenery even more exquisite than it already is. It was evening here, but it was mid afternoon in the human world. The trees in the background made the field we were standing on look less boring.

"This is unbelievable. . ." I mumbled.

Even though I grew up in the woods of a mountain, it never looked like this. For once, I didn't catch the smell of smoke coming out from the cars. This was what was missing in my life. This peaceful moment where nature surrounds me. I remember telling myself before coming that I would not like it here. But now I'm starting to doubt my own words. I liked it here, and it hadn't even been a minute.

"It's believable actually, you're staring at it right now," Sam said with a smug on his face. "Finally, a place without the smell of smoke. Being a human sucks, doesn't it?"

I was going to reply, but then realize that his question was aimed at Connie, who was still passed out. Out here, no one is a human; they can all turn into animals and kill us at any time. But I'm not a human. I knew I was different, but I didn't want to fit into a world I didn't belong.

"Chop chop, let's go. It's a long way to get to the castle, with a person in our care if I may add. So I would start walking if I were you," Saoirse said and lead the way.

I was thinking of running, but to where? I wasn't familiar with this place. I just hope Connie doesn't pass out when I told her what happened.

"Castle?" I asked, Seth who had fallen into step with me, nodded. He's different than his younger brothers. The oldest son, I assume. But I see him mock, tease and argue with his sister every now and then even when she says nothing, showing who truly is the eldest child.

Saoirse didn't say anything and just kept walking, keeping her cool as the eldest.

"I'm a prince, remember?" He asked and gave me a smile.

"A spoiled one," Saoirse mumbled.

"What about you? You only read to try to be like Sapphire," Seth argued.

Saoirse snorted.

"I, for one likes to read as well. Why would I want to be like her?"

"Because you've got a terrible life?"

"Grew up as the firstborn, have to do everything as everyone expects me to. Even though I'm mostly orphaned—and so are you—and betrayed, used, hurt by those I once loved. I still have to be strong, so that the world is safe for you to sleep in. Do you think that's easy?" She fired back.
