First Day Frenzy

Today was the scariest day of my life. I was transfering from my public school to a snobby private school on the other side of town. Today was the day to impress all the snobby rich kids and rude professers to show that I diserved to be there like everyone else.

I put on my brand new uniform and fixed my hair into a neat ponytail with a red bow to match the red knee-high socks they made us wear. I looked in the mirror and saw that I didn't look that bad in my navy blue pleated skirt, white buttoned up shirt, and matching navy blue blazer with the school logo. I begged my mom to get me the red bow tie so I could look like the other kids there.

I finished packing my bags and took one last look at my room. I lugged my bags downstairs and sat at the kitchen table. I sighed saddly and looked longly at my mom who had just came down the stairs.

"What now, Magen? You are going to this school, I don't need a dropout."
She said.

" Mom, out of all the schools, you had to send me to a boarding private school. Why can't you find one that doesn't involve me leaving?" I complained.

" I know. I know. Listen, it'll pay off in the long run." She said.

She walked over to me and gave me a hug. Then she gave me one of those cheap "Awww. Poor Baby!" looks. I just hugged her back and ate one of the apples on the table.

"Magen, Are you ready to leave?" My mom asked me.

"Sure, I'm ready to be shipped off like a sack of potatos." I said,

"Oh please, just get your things and go to the car." My mom said.

I unwillingly got in the car and put my headphones in. My mom got in the car after me and started to drive to SnobbyTown. I soon started to drift off to sleep.
