Good morning

"Boo,” Max screamed as I jumped out the bed, out of breath.

“What the hell Max,” I said.

Max just laughed more

“Well I decided to try something new to wake you up,’ Max said.

“By scaring me half to death,” I said.

“Yep,” Max said with his signature smirk.

I shook my head and then smiled.

“Just be glad your cute,” I said.

“That’s corny,” Max said.

“Like you,” I said.

“Whatever,” Max said.

“What’s for breakfast,” I said yawning.

“Well if you get dressed, we can go to the donut place,” Max said.

“Pizza and donuts in the same week this is weird usually your a gym freak,” I said.

“Well, this is a cheat week plus we're going to walk there,” Max said.

“I’m cool with that let me use the restroom,” I said.

“I’m surprised you didn't use it on yourself,” Max said smirking.

“Shut up,” I said throwing a pillow at him which he caught.

“I’ll be in the living room,” Max said.

I grabbed my clothes and put them on the bed and then did my morning routine.

After finishing I walked into the living room and Max was watching Animal Planet.

“You ready,” Max said.

“Yeah let’s go,” I said

I grabbed my phone and charger and went out the door. It was a warm day very sunny with a cool breeze.

“So how far is this place,” I said.

“It’s about 5 blocks away,” Max said.

“That’s not that bad,” I said

We started walking it was a very quiet walk and I tried to make conversation

“So I don’t know much about your family,” I said

“Well my brother Justin is a headmaster at a tech school and my sister I haven’t heard from her,” Max said.

“That’s cool and I never asked you why’d you leave the substation,” I said.

“It wasn’t adventurous for me I couldn't see myself managing a sandwich shop,” Max said.

“And a warehouse worker sounded better,” I said.

“What about you weren’t you good at ultimate frisbee it’s Olympic sport now,” Max said

“Yeah I quit it a long time ago,” I said.

“Why,” Max said.

“Just got bored with it,” I said

Max knew I was lying but didn’t want to go more into the subject

“So when did you and Cyrus meet,” Max said.

“Well he was one Andi’s friends and he was nice and friendly after a while I and him became best friends,” I said.

“Nice origin story,” Max said

After our conversation, the donut place was in sight.

“Is that the place? I said pointing to the place with the pink and yellow paint.
