Chapter one : School

It was a sunny afternoon at Maria's household. Austin was being his sporty self-working out in his bedroom while Myliah was playing with her new Barbie doll set, and well as for me, I was listening to green day American idiot on my vinyl record player as I get ready for school. My name is Luna, and this is my life. Instead of taking the bus, I ride my penny board to school because of stupid idiots that want to make a big scene while I'm trying to blast my music in my ears but yet they can yell like there is a zombie apocalypse happening around them. As I get to school, I go meet up with my friends jasmine and Connor. They are one of my closest friends out of the whole school ever since the summertime. Well not exactly, my childhood best friend \ crush is now the top varsity football player at Oakland wood high school. His name is Fred and he is the number one top-ranking quote on quote "hottie" of the school. I mean I got to admit compared to when we were kids and what we are now he did hit a major glow up while I am still in the awkward stage of my so-called "emo "phase. I remember every summer I would go over to his place and we would listen to green day, blink 182, and many other old 90s alternative rock bands and R&B songs, But ever since he started playing Football I felt like we fell apart because he was so busy with practice and games also hanging out with his teammates and his on and off relationship with his crazy girlfriend Sophia blossom.  When we were kids he looks like a sweet boy with small black glasses, a little chubby face, and he just had that innocent look but now he is buffer yet slim, hair swoop up with a fade on his sides, wears contacts instead of his in his words " dorky " glasses. his smile is still the same but he is more serious and mysterious rather than him being shy and timid. It was the just last summer that we started to fall off and didn't always hang out like we used to. I remember I would always go over to his house at night, bring him some desserts or something I've made and we would watch random movies starting with horror and end up watching a mixture of Disney and comedy movies. I remember I would wake up to my head onto his chest and my body on top with a blanket over us. We would make breakfast together then after I would go to his room and take his guitar, bring it out to the living room and we would have a mini jam session before I would have to go off and  go back home to my family, but now those days are gone and they are just a bunch of memories. I still have our albums filled with the adventures and hangs we had done since we were little and over the summertime, I was with him. Here and there I would call him to see how he is and what is he up to then he would bring up our old times and he shown me once that he still had all the pictures and the bear I gave him when we were little with a little tag that said "best friends forever "with a little engrave "L" in the middle with a little heart next to it. He still had all the memories I have but I have more hard copies of them and it is posted on the little wall near to my bed of all my friends and family pictures which I call the memory wall. "When are you going to try and hang out with him Luna?" Jasmine question me as we took a glimpse of him laughing up a storm with his team mates then moments later I see Sophia going up to him " oh look it's the wicked witch of the west " Connor whispered to me " Oh shush don't say that about my best friends girl" I snapped and hit Connor in the arm " Luna you don't understand, I've seen how you are with fred and it seems like it's more than friends it seems like a true relationship, are you that blind to not see that happening ?" jasmine exclaimed . I shrugged it off, took a big breath " jasmine, Connor, whatever happens between Fred and I are our business, we are like family, we are close so he would tell me if something is up and so would I do the same. Little did they know inside I am slightly dying because the part of me loves him and wish he had somebody so much better than Sophia blossom who is the varsity cheerleader. The one who kicked me off the team because I was binging "too close "with her man's when they weren't even together at the time when I was on the team. I wasn't even being a flirt, I was making small talk and giving my good lucks before the actual game started then give him a hug like I would always do but of course that little devil decided to make up a story and made me her little puppy for a bit then I rebelled and expose the truth yet that's in the past now since we are all different and more matured then we were before back then.
