There she was walking through the front door with my sister. She looked so perfect, the way she walks, talks, and even breathes. She's gonna be my girl one day. I'm sure of it. I've known her for 14 years though and I don't wanna mess things up between us. Why does she have to be so confusing? We talk one moment and she's gone the next. I just don't even know how to come out and tell Clara I like her. Her name sound so sweet on my tongue. Almost like a sugar cube that's been popped in my mouth. I remember when Clara was younger and we would play tag around the house. Now it's just not so easy to talk to her.

"Yo, Drew!" Keith said as I pulled up the truck in his drive way.

"Hey man, what's up?"

"Just got done cooking some trout, want some bro?"

Keith is an amazing cook. His trout is bomb. It tastes like heaven flopped in my mouth.

"Yeah, how many did you catch today?"

"4. Should've seen them today. They where practically begging to be fried."

"Ha."

"So how's Clara?"

"God man, I just wish I could talk to her without being such a wuss. We talked in the kitchen for about 5 minutes and Keith, it's like speaking to an angel."

"You my friend have got some major things to work on when it talks to girls."

"Hey. I can talk to girls perfectly fine but Clara is different, she ain't like them other girls around these parts."

"If she's so dang special, why haven't you put your arm around her and claimed her before anyone else gets the nerve to try."

"Are your parents gonna be home next week?"

"They're on business for the next 3 months in Europe." Keith said understanding what Andrew was getting at. "Party at my place Drew. And make sure the girl comes."

"Alright bro. What time should we show up?"

"7 don't be a minute late, ya hear?"

"Of course not dad" Andrew winked as he put the trout on his plate and began to eat.

"So, get close with the little guy. Clara's brother. Miles."

"That's just be weird. I'm 18 and he's 14, she'd know something strange was happening."

"Take him ridding." Keith said picking a bone out of his teeth.

"Alrighty then. Horseback ridding it is."

------------------------------------------

"Clara, can I talk to you? Alone."

"Uh- yeah sure, what's up Drew" she said aware that Andrew loves when she calls him that.

"Did you wanna go to to a party with me next week on Friday? You don't have to say yes, I mean there's plenty of other guys I bet you wanna go with. but- I mean-"

"Drew, don't ramble on. Yes, i'll go with you."

"Really?"

"Yes. What time are you picking me up?"

"Be ready by 6 sweetheart."

"Alright. Sounds good to me." Clara said as she walked gracefully back to Willow.

Gosh her butt looks good in them jeans. Andrew George Scott, don't you dare think that again.

So, it's really gonna happen. Friday night is the night I take Clara Evens out for a night. I wonder what it'll be like, I hope I don't do nothing to embarrass myself. Oh gosh, I think I need Willows help. She needs to teach me how to work with Clara so I don't offend her in any way at all.

"Keith, she said she'd go with me."

"Awesome, now it takes an hour to get here, what are you gonna talk 'bout in the car?"

"Um, I don't know."

"Be smooth, talk about her, make yourself look like a mystery in her mind."

"What? she's known me almost her whole life."

"But she doesn't know exactly everything about you Drew."

"True."

"Hey I got to go, gotta clean the shed out."

"Alright. I'll talk to you later."

"Bye." he hung up the phone.

"Willooooowww, I need help."

"Well, then walk your lazy ass down the hall and then i'll help you."

Andrew shuffled down the hall to Willows bedroom and closed the door.

"What do you need Andrew?"

"I'm taking Clara to a party next Friday and I need to know everything that will offend her, her favorite things to talk about, things she does when she's nervous. Anything and everything about her would be nice."

"Hold on, that's what you needed to talk to her alone about today?"

"Yeah."

"Just so you know, she likes you back."

"Huh. Really?"

"Yup, she told me when we went prom shopping."

"That's good to know."

"She hates to talk about football, cars, anything that involves math."

"Football, cars and math. Got it."

"She loves the movie Safe Haven, her favorite color is green, she loves to listen to anything country, she loves to sing, she gets really frustrated when the window is blowing hair into her face. She will talk about anything."

"Okay. Anything else?"

"Do not bring up the subject of Xander. Her ex boyfriend."

"Wouldn't want to anyways, that guy is a total di-"

"Don't even finish that sentence, but yes he is."

"Alright. Thanks Willie, you're the best sister like ever."

"I know, now get out of here you mutt."

Andrew runs out of the door and gets a football and runs back to Willow and throws it at her.

"Jerk, go away."

"I'm going to town, do you need anything?"

"Nope, I think I'm good. Maybe some Starbucks, that'd be nice."

"Alright, be back in a bit."

Andrew went to his truck and road the dirt path for about 20 minutes then got onto the highway.

I wanted to go into town to go get some oil for the truck. The last thing I need is to break down on the way to Keith's with Clara in the car. That'd be embarrassing, oh and maybe a few Jason Aldean CD's. She loves him.

I really hope this works out with her. I want her to be mine forever. She's just so perfect. I can't get her off my mind.
