I woke up to the shuffling of Jayne and checked out the clock that said 4:26 a.m. It was Tuesday morning and I sat up in bed and shuffled into the bathroom. Turning on the light, my turquoise underwear reminded me of yesterday's events and I just got back into bed.

"Valerie?" I looked at Jayne and saw her light brown eyes shine dully in the light casted by the bathroom.

"Yeah?"

"I can't sleep."

"Are you mad? At Damion?"

"...No. I just can't believe this happened... I'm just not tired anymore."

"Then don't sleep." I turned on my lamp and sat up in the bed. Jayne sat up with me and I held back a laugh at the sight of her hair. "Let's get ready for school."

"Right now? It's too early!"

"No, no, no. We can just take our time and have some fun. You can get ready with me. How's that sound?" She just nodded her head vigorously and climbed out the bed. "Let's eat first. I'm starving." Jayne laughed at my fat kid comment and we headed into the kitchen.

We started off with breakfast at around 4:30, watching tv as we ate pancakes bacon and eggs. Going upstairs, I played music and we danced while taking turns in the shower and at the sink brushing our teeth. I let Jayne pick out my outfit for the warm day we had ahead of us and she laid it out on my bed. A pair of shorts, actually. Blue denim shorts, a simple pair of green Converse and a green tanktop with a denim half jacket to match.

"Huh I really forgot I even had these clothes." I thought aloud.

"I know you did." Jayne said. I shot her a playful glare and she stared back at me smirking while curling her hair to perfection. I walked into Jayne's room to pick out her outfit. I swung open her closet doors and picked out a pair of acid washed ripped jeans, a pair of silver sandals and a white fitted v-neck to go. I brought her some underwear as I remembered she was still wearing a towel and went back to our room.

"Got your clothes." She checked out her outfit and analyzed it closely before nodding her approval at the outfit that was different from her normality.

Moving on, I straightened my hair from its usually wavy state and pinned my bangs back and off to the side and this made my hair bump up. I winged my eyeliner and applied my mascara and picked out a green hoop nose ring for the day. I scanned my appearance in the mirror and smirked cockily at how hot I thought I was.

Jayne dressed and put on two simple silver bangles to match an average sized pair of silver hoops and she combed her curls down to loosen them up. We stood side by side and Jayne admired us.

"We look great. I think I want another piercing." I looked down at my sister in shock. She looked up at me with all seriousness on her face. I was suprised. Jayne had only ever had her ears pierced. She never showed any interest in another piercing.

"Where?" I asked. She pointed to her ears right above her first piercing. It made sense.

"Well we have time. Go get a needle."

"Now?" She seemed taken aback by my spontaneity. I nodded.

Jayne walked out and got a needle. We couldn't go to a shop because no one was here to give the legal consent necessary. Once she came back, she grabbed a pair of earrings, and so did I, and we walked downstairs.

"Sit here." I ordered and she pulled out the chair obediently. I turned on the stove until the little blue flames peeked out the slightest bit, and put the needle into the fire to sterilize it. I grabbed an ice cube from the freezer and held it to one ear to numb it.
