Melissa and Steve drove quickly to the hospital. Their life was just now beginning. They're going to be parents. They're going to be a nice little family. Small but amazing. They just bought a nice house in an amazing neighborhood with a playground across the street from them and a huge parking lot directly next to them to make up for the lack of yard. This parking lot was rarely used as well. And then on both corners of their street were churches. The neighbors were kind and had children as well. There sat the pregnant woman in her hospital bed, she was ready. It was time for her new baby girl to enter this amazing world. The father of said baby is there as well, he is right next to the woman holding her hand. Helping her to get through one of the most beautiful but most painful experiences in the world. He was nervous, he was going to be a father to a beautiful baby girl. He didn't know if he could handle it though. The doctor comes in and she pops out the new child. This little family was formed right then. They were a perfect family. You had Melissa, the mother, Steve, the father, and Sydney, their beautiful daughter. As they sat there looking at tiny Sydney, they knew she would grow up to do great things. Maybe you can guess how that goes though. But let's pretend you can't. The next day the doctor says they are clear to go. They pack up and get Sydney ready to leave. They bundle her and themselves up considering its winter. Sydney is a December baby. The 17th to be exact. That day is now one of the best days to Melissa and Steve. The only day that even comes close to being as good is the day Steve proposed. They are postponing the wedding until Sydney is at least 1. That way she could be in the wedding. Steve only proposed a week before they found out they were having a baby. Now they have Sydney. They are almost the definition of perfect. Little did they know, their "perfect" family would crumble in a few years. Melissa would go through struggles that could be damaging to the whole family. Steve would disappear and Sydney would shut everything out. Don't worry about that yet though, we are only just getting started.
