Ash sat beside Dexter, her head low, her eyes drooping. Sighing, Dexter put an arm around her "You'll be alright, kiddo." Dexter said soothingly "But Dexter...I'm not gonna be able to see Johnny for six years...." Ash sobbed, hiding her face. "Johnny's a fighter, he'll survive. You'll be able to see him everyday Ash." Dexter said looking out the window "We'll bail him out, don't you worry...we've just gotta wait..." Dexter sighed disappointedly.
"Ashley...?" Marlene's soft voice echoed through the roof "We need to talk to you..." Cedric said sadly, Dexter nodded and walked out, to give Ash and her parents privacy. Ash sighed whipping her eyes "W-what's up?" Ash sniffled. Marlene and Cedric looked at each other and sighed "Look, pumpkin...we've come to the conclusion that Barry isn't the one for you." Marlene said looking down "Barry?" Ash asked raising an eyebrow "You know who your mothers talking about Ashley." Cedric said a bit sternly "No...you guys....this is my life it's my decision-" "Ashley! We're you parents! You will do as we say!" Cedric frowned.
"No! Dad...your wrong...Johnny is the one for me." "But what if he isn't?!" Cedric blurted out "Just look at the mess he's gotten you into! He killed your ex boyfriend Lance for crying out loud! What?! Are you proud to be dating a killer?! What do you think, do you think it's good? Well it's not-' "Dad, shut up! Look at yourself before you come marching into my life after not even wanting to anything to do with me for the past five years!" Ash shouted standing up.
"Don't come into my life and tell me how to live it when you haven't even bothered to be in it!" Ash screamed. Marlene started crying, a huge frown lay upon Cedric's face "Maybe that was the best decision we ever made.....your not our daughter..." Cedric said disappointedly and took Marlene's hand and walked out.
Dexter walked back into the room and looked at Ash "Ash..." Dexter said shocked. "It's fine, Dexter. Don't worry about it..." Ash whispered as she walked back over to window and sat on it, a blanket covering her body except her face. Sighing, Dexter walked out of the room. "You'll be alright, Ash. You need time to yourself to calm down...I can accept that, just don't worry. Johnny will be back before you know it..." Dexter thought to himself as he walked over to Nana and sat down beside her.
