Silence surrounded the room along with heavy hearts and sincere prayers. Only the continuing monotonous sound of the heart monitor could be heard.

It was a late evening during the month of October and Hazel has been in the ICU for almost a month now, she has been unconscious ever since. She was sent to the hospital due to lack of oxygen in her brain but It was really severe this time that she had to be monitored twenty-four hours a day.

Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster was on the verge of losing hope that their daughter will never recover nor wake up. Thoughts dashing through their minds everyday as the day engulfs into darkness. Thoughts like what'll happen to them if Hazel, their only daughter dies or what kind of impact in their life will happen without her. The thought of it kills them every single day.

Mr. Lancaster : " It's almost gonna be a month now and Hazel hasnt woken up, she barely has moved a limb "

Mrs. Lancaster : " Do not lose hope now ! The doctor said there has been improvements and the medication seems to be working now. We must accept infinite disappointment but we must never lose infinite hope. " ( Martin Luther King )

Just as those words were said, Hazels' hand moved which gave both of them a spark of hope. Hazels' dad immediately ran and called the nurses and the doctors to respond to her.

Dr. Maria ran a few tests and she told them it was a miracle. Her body did not respond to the treatment shes been taking for the last three weeks. Only this past few days where there had seem to be improvements because the Dr. gave her a new set of medicines which worked out fine. The doctor said she'd be able to wake up in just a few minutes.

The Lancasters felt so much joy and happiness during those moments.They patiently waited for her eyes to open. Hazels' bed was in the middle of the room and at both ends were sofas where visitors could sit and sleep but she barely had any visitors, only her friends from Support Group and Kaitlyn.

Hazels' eyes opened and she called for her mom. Her dad hugged her and her mom showered her with kisses all over her face. Hazel was still speechless about everything else but then she asked

" Where is Augustus ? "

Hazels' parents looked at each other in awe and said

" Who is Augutus ? "
