The boat rocked around in the storm. The crew were downstairs but only one remained on the deck; a small boy with a nose piercing, crouched into the corner where her was shivering, soaked with rain. The water that was flooding over the side of the boat was pressing his shirt down against his feminine figure. Hearing a door slam, he looked up, to see the captain. The captain was tall, maybe 6,4ft tall. He had a black beard that looked as if it was made of wire and he held a hat and an umbrella shielding him from the rain. The boy shuffled forwards toward the umbrella in hopes of being covered but the captain stepped backwards and kicked the boy in the stomach, laughing as he recoiled in pain. The captain reached into his back pocket, producing a rope, and with a single whistle three other men, much stronger than the boy came up from downstairs. Each grappling a length of rope, the captain stood back as the men bound the boys wrists and ankles together. He shut his eyes; knowing what was going to happen next. He didn't struggle, he didn't kick or fight, but let himself be bound up. The captain took a deep breath before talking, "you are aware that having women on the ship is very bad luck, right? The storm was not on the forecast, but... it seems that you're the source of our bad luck, girl" the last word was accompanied by spit, which flew all over the boy in the corner. "Have you anything to say for yourself?"
"I'm... I'm not a girl!" The boy cried. He was fed up of transphobia; why can't people just worry about themselves and not plague him instead? It was 2013, what's the problem anymore?
"Oh, but you are! you are a woman, so don't give me all of this lgbtqia+ crap!" He cleared his throat "anyway, you're going overboard... girls like you aren't worthy for anything. I hope you have fun drowning!" And with a snap of the captains fingers, the small boy was thrown over board. As his back hit the water, he saw the captain snickering with one of them men. He caught eyes with him, and the last thing he remembers seeing before his vision went black was the smirk on the captains face, the look of glee as he sank further and further into the depths of nothingness.
